How bad the 2022 election was for the GOP, historically speaking
The Washington Post ^ | Nov. 10, 2022 | Aaron Blake

This would be the first time since 1986 — and only the second time since 1934 — that the opposition party has had a net loss of governor’s seats. Only once in the past 100 years has the opposition party lost both Senate seats and governor’s mansions: 1934. Republicans could feasibly do that. The opposition party has gained state legislative chambers in every midterm election held since 2002, flipping an average of more than 12 chambers. Republicans have currently lost at least three chambers — both chambers in Michigan, and the Minnesota state Senate — and appear as though they’ll lose the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, as well.

Stormy Daniels says that if you think long and hard, at least Trump won’t come to mind.

Flipping Row was well worth the cost. Even with that, R’s will take control of the house and might grab the senate as well. Across the country R’s hit super majorities in many states, like Ohio. NY flipped many seats to Republican and AOC’s candidate was trounced.

Nahhh

Abortion was not the cause.

The cause? #ComDems were pushing straight party ticket, not candidate tickets. They have a following that is mind dead programmed to pull one lever. No one is ever held accountable for actions.

This is the ComDem strategy and the Media and Globalist Fascist Money supports lies as reality.

The GOP offered nothing to the voters except we are not Democrats vote for us.

Right now we have the GOP establishment on a tear to blame Trump for their disaster and promote DeSantis as an alternative. In doing so they are killing two birds with one stone. They hate Trump because he delivers and reveals what sniveling and lying fools the GOP establishment real is to the voters. By openly promoting DeSantis they taint him with the wretched Bush GOP brand with MAGA voters, thus diminishing him pulling in the MAGA voters which the GOP can’t afford to lose.

The end game is Trump is no acceptable to the establishment/nevertrumpers/those fooled into believing the establishment again. DeSantis will not acceptable because he will be damaged with MAGA voters by the intentionally open and visible endorsements of that little shit Paul Ryan and his ilk. The end game for the establishment, lets run the likes of Pence or a Bush Republican. Conservative Inc and FNC will jump on board and the establishment will get their candidate and they will get curb stomped in the general election. Bush 43 barely won twice and McCain/McRommney got thumped, all establishment approved and hated by most of the country.

All this caterwauling on FR about Trump is the devil and DeSantis is the only way is not as it seems. We are being played-—again.

Can’t seem to find we won the House…what am I missing here?

Same here. People acting like the House has already been won. I think we will squeak by, but it's far from a done deal.

You’re only being played if you believe the GOP BS.

I would vote for Trump in the primaries, but more than happy to vote DeSantis in the General Election if that’s the way things play out.

I will never vote for Pence, Ryan, Romney and the like EVEN if the dem candidate is AOC.

Let’s make sure these legislatures don’t have any electoral oversight.

The GOP has enabled Biden for the past two years. Affirmed all of his crazy cabinet members. Joined in with all the big spending bills. Put Ukraine’s border first and hardly mentioned ours.

We haven’t won the House yet. There’s a ton of counting still going on in blue Western states.

And if we do win it, we’ll be a car crash or heart attack away from losing it again.

Other than keeping Hillary Clinton out of the White House, what has Trump delivered?

He let Fauci and Birx destroy his economic gains, the Swamp is more powerful than ever, and the last three elections where Trump has been center stage have been horrible for Republicans.

As a national party, we’re on the verge of being exiled to the wilderness for a generation.

Yesterday it was projected the GOP would take the House by 10 but today it’s projected only by 5. Very tight. New York may have saved the nation.

More red states should have jumped on heartbeat style bills. Many let decades old laws to go back into effect. It scared the crap out of young women to think that if their dad raped them, they’d be forced to birth their half brother or be charged with murder if they got an abortion.

I know there are pro-lifers here and elsewhere but the majority of people think within the first trimester is acceptable. That’s just the way it is these days.
