Gov. Ron DeSantis may believe Tuesday night’s re-election was a “win for the ages,” but former President Donald Trump isn’t sold.
Trump took to Truth Social to diminish DeSantis’ accomplishment Wednesday.
“Now that the Election in Florida is over, and everything went quite well, shouldn’t it be said that in 2020, I got 1.1 Million more votes in Florida than Ron D got this year, 5.7 Million to 4.6 Million? Just asking?”

Always is.
Exactly. For a man who claimed he started a movement and it was bigger than just him, he's totally lost the plot.
Like many here I voted for him twice and donated many times but I've had enough. After 2020, I wrote here what I thought he needed to do to rehabilitate his image so he could appeal to enough voters to win again in 2024. He's done the exact opposite. He's on a path self immolation.
The midterms suggest he's on the wrong path but that's not his take away. He's blaming Republicans who won decisively and blaming Republicans he supported that lost.
Two years ago I was supportive of a 2024 bid but now I fear the primary will be all about stopping Trump in order to preserve a chance at victory.
Americans want the policies without the drama. They said that in 2020. They're saying it again in 2022 and he continues to bring the drama.
He just can't avoid the traps the Dems lay down for him. He takes their bait again and again. It's not about not fighting back, it's about fighting on your time table. It's why he lost in 2020 when he deserved to WIN. It wasn't "stolen" even though I'm sure there were efforts to give Dems the advantage. He gave it away. All Joe had to do was hide in his basement.
Florida's governor race is held in the mid-term election cycle, not the presidential election cycle.
The mid-term elections always have a reduced turnout.

I am 100% certain that 2020 was stolen—the turnout numbers were just wacky and impossible.
I do not like to blame the victim—but President Trump failed to stop it when he had the power to do so.
DeSantis crushed voting fraud in Florida.
Going forward it has to be about results, not personalities.
After Trump I’m sick of outsiders. We need to go back to supporting people who’ve spent their lives in government!

He certainly sounds to me like a man on the verge of a nervous breakdown.
His advisors should get him to tone it down.
Maybe Melania can persuade him to be more rational, and to stop attacking the great Republican Governor of their own state.

I read Trump is threatening to expose some dirt on DeSantis’ wife.
If he did that he would forever lose any support I would give him. Even if he was the repub nominee in 2024 I would not vote for him.
I liked his time in the White House, voted for him twice, but think he can’t win another election.
Waay too much baggage, imagined, real and made up.
