Gov. Ron DeSantis may believe Tuesday night’s re-election was a “win for the ages,” but former President Donald Trump isn’t sold.
Trump took to Truth Social to diminish DeSantis’ accomplishment Wednesday.
“Now that the Election in Florida is over, and everything went quite well, shouldn’t it be said that in 2020, I got 1.1 Million more votes in Florida than Ron D got this year, 5.7 Million to 4.6 Million? Just asking?”

The only comment about this is to point out how absolutely shitty the polls were going into Tuesday.
What makes you think these polls are any better.
What a lot of polls miss is the number of independents voting in primaries and the general.
Now that the Election in Florida is over, and everything went quite well, shouldn’t it be said that in 2020, Ron D got 59.4% of the vote while Donald T got 51.2% of the Florida vote in 2020? Just asking?
It is getting tiresome.
“DeSantis vows to go scorched earth on
the 2020 election thieves”
DeSantis did go scorched earth on Florida’s election thieves in southern Florida.
We know he gets it.
I am not interested in rhetoric—I am interested in results.
He knows what to do and how to do it—and most importantly, he has done it in the real world.
If conservatives think DeSantis isn’t a patriot, or is a stealth “RINO” because his name isn’t Trump...then they (YOU!) need to drop your religious belief in Trump. Trump is not God Almighty. And a man who refuses to work WITH friends will find himself without any...
Of course he got more votes since less people vote in off year elections
Don't cloud his fever dream with facts.
Seriously, it's sad to see him fall down the rabbit hole.
Proverbs 16:18. Pride goeth before destruction
It's also an off-year sort of election, with the presidency in two more years.
Voting is always poor when the presidency is not on the line.
Trump needs to run and win and we don't need monies to squander on other candidates. We need(ed) them for an off year election that was so vital.
Trump actively campaigned, but gave very little of donated monies to candidates, this cycle. He continues to be harassed by the Deep State, Democrats, and fellow Republicans.
We can only stop the Republicans, to any extent, though.
Posturing is expected, but Trump stating the obvious is redundant and appears hostile to a “friendly.”
He needs to encourage more “friendlies,” not push them away.
Go after the Paul Ryans of the world, Donald!
He is an elite. :)
Trump is very likely getting some very, very bad advice from somebody. I write this because history has shown that Trump’s track record for picking advisors and right hand men extremely poor.
Nah. DeSantis has no animosity towards trump.
It’s stupid to have red on red fighting.
Going by the headline only ... I take it to mean a shot at the ‘process’. He got that many more votes and still lost the election? just mho
Ok whatever.
Trump on the other hand waited until it was too late expose any potential voting integrity issues.
Now in hindsight, most people did not realize this was an issue, but Trump allowed himself and the country to be steamrolled by COVID-19 where DeSantis did not, because he saw it coming.
Nah. There is no fight to be had.
Both men are wonderful.
If DeSantis runs against Trump, DeSantis may not have to do anything except sitting back and watching Trump self-destruct.
“history has shown that Trump’s track record for picking advisors and right hand men extremely poor.”
Yup—this is one of his two Achilles heels.
Everybody knows the other one.
;-)
President Trump is a historical figure—and like many folks who “make a mark” he has both great strengths and some weaknesses.
We should openly acknowledge both.
“ DeSantis has no animosity towards trump.”
? What are you blabbing about.
Yes, the only other thing I can think is maybe he has decided to be a team player and is not planning on running and is trying to give DeSantis some space between them—though I suspect that is highly unlikely
