Trump told to hold 2024 announcement until after Georgia Senate runoff
NY Post ^ | 11/10/2022 | Mark Moore

Former President Donald Trump is being advised to delay next week’s “very big announcement” after a much-anticipated red wave failed to form on Election Day, with some arguing Republican efforts should be concentrated on the Dec. 6 US Senate runoff election in Georgia.

“I’ll be advising him that he move his announcement until after the Georgia runoff,” former Trump adviser Jason Miller told the Associated Press. “Georgia needs to be the focus of every Republican in the country right now.”

Trump has come under withering criticism for his role in the midterm campaign after Republican expectations for crushing victories in the House fell short and control of the Senate remained up in the air as of Thursday morning.

In a further blow to Trump’s status, his potential 2024 rival Ron DeSantis cruised to a double-digit reelection win as Florida governor and is being looked at as the future of the party.

Another way is to say, Trump changing his plans for the Repukes means they’ll take that as a sign of weakness. Walker happens to like Trump. Hr probably isn’t asking g for Trump to hold off. The political elites are pathetic. They want to win Georgia because the voters don’t have all the facts instead of convincing the voters that the facts, as they are, are the best for the state.

Thoughts? Concerns?
You really have to ask?

The hindsight geniuses all rail on about how Trump has/had bad advisors are now suggesting he listen to a "former" advisor.

Who are the hypocrites in this picture?

Whether y’all want to admit it or not, Trump was a big reason Georgia has two democratic senators right now. Yuge reason. The best reason, and it’s not even close.

The post election shenanigans railing on Raffensperger for not stopping fraudulent votes and letting buffoons like Sidney Powell and Lin Wood convince voters in Georgia to think that not voting was a good protest for the election results. It was at least as stupid a strategy as McConnell holding up that last batch of stimmy checks right before the election.

Trump announcing his candidacy before the runoff puts all that back into the forefront and if there is anythign other than a runaway victory, Trump is going to be blamed for it.

So yes, there’s good reason to hold off.

Looking back on it, Fauci would have been an effective operational move … but at the time it would have been a terrible one politically. I wouldn’t criticize anyone in the Trump administration for taking either side of this.

Don’t hold off if Trump plans to announce that he’s not running in ‘24.

Maybe Trump can spend some $$$ on Walkers campaign - According to Michael Goodwin in the NY Post today - Trump did not donate ONE cent to the Herschel Walker campaign.

we know what will happen because we saw this exact thing play out in the last GA runoff.

.

.

trump will declare before the runoff, because he cannot help himself.

trump will hold "rallies" for walker that are dominated by trump, all about trump, and where walker barely even has a speaking part. walker will look silly for being at his own rally where his attendance seemed optional.

warnock will win the runoff.

it will not hurt Trump to hold off

Trump may be trying to beat J6 to the punch but he could become an unwanted distraction to the all important GA runoff.

Best for him to step back and not give the Dems any ammunition to motivate their voters to turn out IMHO.

Wasn't Fauci a ‘covered’ employee? President Trump followed the gods of Science.. the whole Congress would have impeached and removed President Trump if he had gone against Science.

“Sorry … FIRING Fauci (etc.)”

Had Trump fired Fauci in the early days of covid, the dems would have hung every death around Trump’s neck and the dems wouldn’t have had to cheat to win in 2020.

Sometimes you have to play the game at the right time.

Trump must cancel his announcement to run for POTUS in 2024 until after the Georgia Runoff Election...period!!! Nothing is more important then Walker winning that runoff. Get rid of Mitch McConnell, today....he just simply “SUCKS”!!!

Trump is history as far as elect ability to the Presidency. IMO
He definitely can add electicability to others and should.

My preference is to find someone 65 or under age range
to promote for the next presidential election.

Here’s a radical idea...

...what if...just...what if, Trump, Kemp, and DeSantis put their future rivalry on hold and showed up together for a rally for Walker. For the sake of the country and the party. It would get huge coverage and would probably be crazy enough to tip the scales to Walker. Also it would eliminate the blame game for whose responsible for his win or loss.

of course that requires tamping down egos...very tough thing in politics.

Trump is running in '24. Desantis will get crushed if he tries to go against Trump.

You will be voting for Trump in Nov. ‘24.

Get used to the idea.

Where else are you going to go?
