Republicans have won nearly six million more votes nationwide in races for the House of Representatives, but have flipped relatively few seats, suggesting talk of a “red wave” may have anticipated the overall mood of the country but not the final result of the election.
According to the Cook Political Report, as of Thursday morning, November 10, Republicans have won 50,113,534 votes, or 52.3% of the vote, compared to 44,251,768, or 46.2% of the vote. Republicans lead by 6.1%, which is better than their average in “generic congressional ballot” polls, in which the party led by 2.5% in the final RealClearPolitics average before the election. But Republicans have only managed to flip nine seats thus far — likely enough to control the House, but far short of a “wave” result many anticipated.

It probably has a lot to do with the conservative exodus from blue states to red states - conservatives from blue states are now living in red states and adding their votes to Republican candidates in safe seats.

That is an extremely small provisional vote count. I guess people in PA are on top of it when it comes to voting correctly- Extreme sarcasm!!!
That is a big factor another factor is the Census Bureau admits “mistakes” in the recent census that resulted in few seats going to red states and blue states not losing as many.
Florida is a prime example, all the talk before the census was Florida was going to get 4 additional seats, they ended up getting 2, which Republicans would have likely won, which amounts to a net gain of 4 if the loses would have come from blue states.
Must be that damn Electoral College again. When are we going to get rid of it?
Which tells me that the Pubbies need to switch over to those “wildly popular, mail in Banana Republic ballots.” You can send in as many as you want. There is no limit.
Which is good the red states are red but it leaves a hole in the state they left and gives the vote over to the dems.
They overperformed in FL and other Republican states but underperformed in democrat and “purple” states which is where they needed to make up ground.
Mail-in ballots and ballot harvesting aren’t going to go away in states controlled by Democrat legislatures. Republicans need to learn how to play by the new rules and use both to their own advantage - complaining about them isn’t going to make any difference.
It has to begin with raising awareness.
All the sniping about weak candidates vs. Trump plus or minus is missing the big picture entirely.
All the razor thin margins of victory go to Demo rats because they know exactly how many fraudulent votes to inject.
I saw many races with the percentages between 52% to 48% with Republicans over performing.
Republicans gerrymandered so many safe seats for themselves, that they are wasting votes that could have gone against legitimate Dem opponents.
Imagine that.
Biggest problem that I see, from the proverbial 30,000’ level....So-called Republican Governors and state legislatures not willing to do what is necessary to REALLY secure elections.
I’m not on the DeSantis train, like lots of others, but I will acknowledge that he’s doing an amazing job down there, with the help of an equally amazing legislature, AG, and state medical officer(whatever his title is) that are drafting and passing the bills that he’s willing to sign and helping him and the people of Florida get sh*t right.
One of those things being, getting rid of Mail In Voting, Drop Boxes, ballot harvesting and keeping the Feds out of the state and sticking their crappy noses into a state issue.
It was pointed out to me that Missouri passed a very strict law concerning Mail In Cheating/Drop Boxes, basically banning them outright and making any ballots by mail more like a traditional absentee ballot with some security additional security protocols that would make cheating almost impossible, I’m thinking.
Sadly, those are only two states that I know of, where Republicans are in control, that did anything like that. Republican’s control quite a few states, across the board. Every single one of them should have banned Mail In Voting, Drop Boxes, ballot harvesting and keeping the feds out. But there are too many RINOs and they’re either scared or complicit. And there are a couple of stated, Kentucky and Louisiana, that have veto proof majorities, if I’m not mistaken, that can do what they want, anyway. Given that their Dem Governors were elected by fraud, as well.
The recent election law in Georgia, originally, had the language to eliminate the cheating mechanisms, but that language was removed before the RINOs in leadership allowed it to come to a vote and the Governor signed the bill. IOW, the bill doesn’t do all that much.
That also helped Florida. Registered Republicans outnumber Dem’s by quite a bit.
Florida had the perfect storm in having a Governor, state legislature, AG and population that are all on the same page. And all contributed to creating an atmosphere where the legislature and Governor can pass and sign into law, things that allow actual ‘free and fair elections’.
Imagine, for a moment, if states had an “electoral college” system for the statewide offices of Gov, Lt Gov, AG, SOS. A system where each county got a certain amount of votes, regardless of population. It would eliminate the votes of the large, urban, Democrat-controlled cities from being able to outnumber the rural areas.
It’s like that even in the “Blue” states. Hell, NY is about as RED as it gets once you get out of NYC and a handful of other cities. Long Island is pretty damn RED, for the first time EVER as folks are tired of all of it.
For all the talk about how liberal Wisconsin is, I believe its on track to have a veto proof, Republican legislature.

Nursing homes are a goldmine of mail in ballots, for the rats.
100% turnout, even those with dementia and in comas, all with the same signature.
I remember, years ago, Tim Stevens, head of the local naacp, in Pittsburgh, was caught taking a busload of mentally ill, to the polls, from a local mental hospital.
All had the names of the candidates they were to vote for written on their hands.
