“As soon as we know for sure we won big today, he needs to announce as soon as the polls close.”

Agreed. Good strategy, win OR lose. If we win, momentum! If we lose, more seething anger from his base to draw on for the next two years while the Socialists continue to destroy the Middle Class Voter.

Looks like a Win/Win to me! I mean, it might hurt, but in The Big Picture, America has been through worse times.

i remember before he won in 2016, that the pundits and RINOs were saying Trump had no chance because he didn’t hire legions of election consultants and “experts” to run his campaign ....

Everyone knows better that Trump. How cute.
Hey! I've got ideas. Listen to me.Blah,Blah,Blah............................................................................ ................................................................... I've seen the best “Picks, Cabinets” over many administrations that haven't accomplished half as much as Trump did with this “Media Driven Meme / Trolls" that his picks suck.
Someone here once posted a long list of accomplishments by the Trump administration. Please post it again to remind everyone when Jack*sses like this pipe up and give there "Advice".

LOL! Underestimating Donald Trump , once again. Don’t those clowns ever learn?

Yep, it sure was a total disaster for the Democrat/RINO Uniparty when it foolishly "underestimated Donald Trump once again" in 2020. The Democrat/RINO Uniparty 2020 Election Steal was a piece of cake, with literally no resistance whatsoever from the Republican Party. Trump's top political advisors (Jared & Ivanka) were pretty useless as well -- never saw the Steal coming even though it stared them in the face throughout 2019 and 2020.

And the Democrat/RINO Uniparty pulled off their 2020 Election Steal with the worst Presidential candidate, by far, in the history of American politics -- their senile Sleepy Joe puppet Manchurian Candidate. No problem -- they easily gurneyed Sleepy Joe into the Oval Office in January, 2021. So it does pay to underestimate Donald Trump - the Democrat/RINO Uniparty indisputably proved that during their 2020 Election Steal. The Democrat/RINO Uniparty wasn't worried at all that President Trump would have any effective response whatsoever to their blatantly obvious 2020 Election Steal (using a senile Sleepy Joe puppet) as it was happening. And President Trump (and his top political advisors Jared & Ivanka) never had any effective response. So one could say, Wow the Democrat/RINO Uniparty way underestimated President Trump in 2020 by using their washed-up senile Sleepy Joe puppet and doing their Election Steal right in the face of President Trump and Republicans -- that was REALLY underestimating President Trump's capabilities. Nope. The Democrat/RINO Uniparty totally underestimated Trump's response throughout 2019 & 2020 and yet his Administration still failed to clear that extremely low bar the Democrat/RINO Uniparty set for him.

I believe your angle is the correct one.

Trump is in a rush. If he announces his run for 2024 before any indictments or calls before congressional committees to testify, he probably has better legal standing to fight them as meddling in elections and electoral politics.

He might be right under normal circumstances, but not in this case. If there’s a big GOP wave this week, then he should ride it and assert himself as the party’s de facto leader for the next two years.

This announcement really isn't like any other campaign announcement ever. Everyone with at least half a brain (an a few Democrats) have know that Trump is running in 2024. The formal announcement doesn't really end any suspense.

As for clearing the field, with Trump in, the field was bound to be made up of crackpots and fools anyway.

Have you not noticed that the pundits in media (TV and print) keep raising the specter of an indictment against Trump for .... something, whatever? It’s been kind of hard to avoid unless you’re simply choosing not to consuming mainstream policial commentary (or the news which political commentary disguises itself as). It’s hardly a “whoa where did that come from” thing to mention that Trump is potentially going to be indicted for .... whatever, they’ll think of something ... at some point.

It’s a miscarriage of judgement and a real shame. But those leftists will continue as long as they know they will never be held accountable for their real crimes against democracy.

Gov. Chris Sununu makes a good point. We have been bombarded by political ads and most of us want to focus on things closer to our hearts from now to Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day. Give us a break, Donald.

“And everyone’s going to want to take a breath and reengage with their families and deal with some really serious issues. And then politics really gets back into the mix of things in early ‘23.”

Country Club RINO Sununu thinks we should all take months off from the issues.

Nevermind how much the Democrats will continue to destroy this country during that period of time.

The establishment is so out of touch.

I don’t think that Sununu fully understands Trump’s reason for announcing. Once Trump announces his intention to run for President, it will be much more difficult for the DOJ to indict him. It will appear to be a blatantly partisan prosecution — which, it is — and it will put intense pressure on the DOJ to let the American people decide in ... wait for it ... an election.

Sounds like President Trump has gotten under Sununu’s skin and he wants him to give the corrupt DOJ time to indict before he announces. President Trump needs to announce ASAP.

Right! he should have his whole re-election team set up for the announcement and a good idea who he’s going to choose for those relatable cabinet positions soon.

Maybe I’m totally off base, but in the past I’ve understood that there are “campaign laws” that kick in when you officially announce. That’s one of the reasons that candidates would have “exploratory committees” and tease about running.

There may be some protections in announcing. Then again, how many secret FISA warrants were issued in 2015?

You can be sure some indictments for Trump are coming from the corrupt, criminal “Jan 6 Committee”.
