Laxalt is up 3+ now.

But that doesn’t include the main ins that were dropped off in Clark county and Washoe counties yesterday or the ballots “still in the mail”

In NV as long as those are postmarked by election day they have a whole week to arrive and be counted

Difference is, PA the D’s have a 600k plus vote registration advantage, and OZ was an absolute lousy and off brand, carpetbagger candidate, with absolutely no established political support to draw from in the state, was not remotely conservative, let alone MAGA and ran a poor campaign to boot.

Oz never offered conservative or MAGA voters a reason to be excited for him.. throughout this entire campaign season, I could not find anyone, and I do mean ANYONE on the ground who had an ounce of excitement for OZ anywhere... Republican voters, MAGA voters, Independents, none... general consensus of everyone I talked to was this was a crap election, with crap candidates, so I guess I’ll vote for OZ because he’s at least not Fetterman. That, ain’t gonna ever get it done in PA as an R for statewide office.

No one should be surprised by this result, if anything OZ got a gift with Fetterman’s stroke, because without it he wouldn’t have even been within 5 points.

You want to win in PA as a republican, you need to absolutely OWN the T, you can’t do that if you’ve advocated for gun control, or trans kids, part of the WEF, or had to pay out millions because you sold fake fat pills to folks, etc etc. Oz was a con man.. he offered nothing to cause Democrat voters to cross over, nothing to excite the base, and certainly nothing to get the disenfranchised MAGA voters who would crawl over glass to vote for Trump to show up for him.

This played out pretty much how it was going to play out. The notion here and elsewhere that Fetterman would be abandoned due to his health, was foolish. The entire argument offered here by everyone who challenged my statements about this race always boiled down to “at least he’s not Fetterman”... while those same people failed to recognize the exact same argument can be presented by the other side to their supporters “well, at least he’s not OZ”.

IF that’s your campaign, and that pretty much was the campaign, no one should be shocked that the side with the HUGE registration advantage, and running a candidate that has an in state political base to draw from won.

This wasn’t a policy election, it wasn’t even a personality election, it was simply a tribal/orthodoxy election, because literally NOTHING was ever offered by anyone to make it anything else.. and when that’s your election in PA, D is going to win every time.

Not much screeming against the 87k protection racket.

And the “Working” Team for the “Financial” “Markets” love it.
Established 1998 protection racket.

Oz was worse. Authenticity is perhaps the most important trait a politician can have and Fetterman had it, whereas Oz did not. Poor choice by Trump.

Excellent analysis. Honest question, do you think McCormick could have beaten Fetterman? I’m not sure.

I wonder if anyone reading this thread tonight has any doubt why Republicans and conservative can’t seem to get their crap together like the democrats do?
***************

Part of it is also that we Conservatives have our own opinions, while the democrats seemingly aren’t allowed to have any. They do as they’re told by the Enemedia, and they vote in lockstep with what their masters decree.

We’re already seeing a schism developing among Conservatives as to who the standard-bearer will be in ‘24. Heck, the dems could run a stuffed rabbit and if the Enemedia says to, brain-dead zombie dems will vote for it...and win.

We have lost our cohesion. If we don’t present a united front, we’re toast.

Nevada still coming in. Been trending R.

Walker may be able to force a runoff. The Libertarian’s 2% is keeping Warnock under 50.

Not sure if brought out yet, but Montana is looking to hold its new congressional seat under a republican. With about 2/3s of the precincts reporting, Ryan Zinke (R) is holding a 4% lead over his democrat opponent. Early returns from liberal centers of Bozeman and Missoula (AKA Bozangles and Missoulafornia) put the democrat initially in the lead, but those early votes have been overcome.

How can a major party candidate in a major state like PA have no money? Where are the deep pocket GOP donors??

In 2020 only the NRA spent any noticeable ad money supporting Trump in my neck of Florida. All the industries like energy being hammered by Dems now couldn’t have cared less to support Trump then. I don’t expect it’s any different in 2022. They’re all in with the Chinese Communist Party and trying to wait out MAGA.

If you think I am happy about anything to do with this race you know nothing.

This was an absolute crap race, and an completely unforced error by foolish people who refuse to look past their orthodoxy and political predispositions to remotely or objectively consider anything that conflicts with those things regardless of their merit.

Maybe next time someone, who is on the ground in a state, and has been there for more than 30 years, offers up on the ground input, maybe you’ll have enough mental wherewithal to at least give it some consideration rather than just bobbling your head up and down like a sheep to some loud mouth out of NYC or DC parroting you talking points that fit your predisposed and desired narrative.

PA was an absolute UNFORCED ERROR OF A LOSS.. and it was clear from the start to anyone who objectively looked at the situation.

You think I’m happy about anything to do with this joke of a race in PA you know absolutely nothing.

He didn’t cost “us” anything. He worked harder than McConnell or McCarthy or you did to boost campaigns all over the country! Mail in ballots and vote harvesting are the real issue not what Trump was doing.

Sorry, but she’s wrong.

Mastriano ran a lousy campaign, and had no support from the establishment, but Oz didn’t lose because of that.

Understand the fundamentals... OZ was a crap off brand candidate who ran a poor campaign to boot. The Governors race wasn’t even on the radar, blaming Mastriano for OZ losing is nonsense.

More than $100 Million dollars was spent to sell OZ in the general election, and ungodly sum of money.. he spent more on the Primary that both candidates combined did last general to wind up with 31% of the primary vote... he was an absolute off brand and crap candidate. This entire cycle has been driven by the Senate race, no one was talking about the Governors race, it was a non factor in anything.. because it was never a race... Turnout wasn’t low for the election so saying oh the governors race wasn’t competitive that’s why he lost is just not based in reality IMHO.

Would a more competitive governors race gotten OZ 3 more points? I really don’t see how... Its clear voters split their vote.. Mastriano got over 200k fewer votes than OZ, voters split their ballots... Turnout was not repressed, overall turnout was insanely high for a midterm, blaming a poor governors race is just an excuse.

OZ was a CRAP off brand candidate, period. PA Senate was an absolutely preventable and unforced error. Absolutely ZERO excitement for this man anywhere, anywhere. I cannot tell you of a single conversation I’ve had with any conservative or MAGA voter I have talked to, let alone independent or conservative democrat, that offered ANY, ANY sign of excitement or enthusiasm at all for OZ, not one, not ever.

The general conversation when this Senate race has been brought up among folks with those leanings has been pretty much, “What an absolute joke this election is”. That’s it, in a nutshell, that wasn’t going to change regardless of whether we had the best candidate for Governor or the worst...

This race was an absolute preventable and unforced error, and reality is, money pumped into this race to try to buy it for OZ probably prevented other candidates who could have won from winning elsewhere had the money been spent there.

Wrong candidate and a Dem who hid his cognitive issues until a month after early voting had started.

"That pattern is being repeated around the country."

Thank you for opening my eyes. Having lived in New York all my life, it never occurred to me that other States have the same issue. Difference is, NYC is an island and can easily be cut off, at least in my eyes. LOL.
