Republican mega-donor Ken Griffin says it's time to 'move on' from Trump, backs DeSantis for 2024.

GOP mega-donor Ken Griffin said it is time for the Republican Party to move on from former President Donald Trump and look toward a new party leader. Griffin said in an interview with Politico that he supported the Trump administration's fiscal policies, but that he believes the party should gravitate toward other GOP stars. "He did a lot of things really well and missed the mark on some important areas," Griffin said. "And for a litany of reasons, I think it's time to move on to the next generation."

It might also indicate his preoccupation with an immediately impending election. But feel free to engage in your regular DJT bootlicking at an un-abated pace.

I don’t care, either.

I don’t think that ticket would work very well, for very long. Just a “hunch”.

How can you think Trump’s age is a factor? Who among us can keep up with him? He is at the highly functioning end of the age spectrum. Biden is all the way over on the opposite end and is a very old feeble idiot. If Trump were going to be 90 you may have a point but then again he could prove you wrong then too!

My mom is 97 and still doing her own laundry, washing dishes and making coffee in the morning. She has slowed down a bit because she caught Covid back in January.

At 90, she was a dynamo, mowing grass with a push mower, gardening, running errands and just living life.

I think Trump is going to be someone who is still going strong in his 90s.

DeSantis has made Florida into a solid red state in his first term as Governor. What happens if he runs for the presidential office and leaves Fla to drift back into a blue state? All of the newcomers to Fla are not conservatives. Fla needs DeSantis, and he needs a second term as gov for the experience needed for the US presidency. I hope he does not put any trust or hope for any political advancement with the RINOs who are courting him. They lie and obfuscate as well as the communist dems. As is obvious to political watchers, DeSantis is a potential Judas goat for the power seeking RINO globalists.

Whatever. Trump is about to crush the mid-terms. He will do the same in 2024.

That’s a bit much. The dems are getting crushed in the mid-terms because of the dems. Dems killed energy, the economy, trying to kill families, education, etc. That’s why people are voting republican. Trump endorsed a lot of highly likely winners but that doesn’t mean he deserves all credit for their wins.

If you read very much, you’ve likely read that a lot of suburban women are switching from D’s to R’s in the mid-terms. They’re not doing this because of Trump. We need them now and we’ll need them in 2024.

If Trump is the nominee in 2024, he’ll get my vote. But he could help himself by not being so reckless. It is buffoonery to attack republicans days before the mid-terms.
And, if he couldn’t stop the steal as president, why should we feel confident now?

De Santis has stated that if Trump runs he will sit it out.

He’s a good guy and he’s playing it right.

Are you sure about that? Everything I've seen says he hasn't said that, and its why some of Trump's strongest supporters are not happy with him because they believe he should say that.

I would like DeSantis more if he openly denounces Ken Griffin
for being the douchebag that he is.

RE: RINOS” Would you mind elaborating on that?

Who else would publicize...

DeSantis got the prestigious endorsement of Jeb Bush.

I love Trump's policy goals. I love the way he takes the media to task.

I do not like how he constantly says "me" and "I" about everything. He has a giant ego. When he was a businessman in NYC he loved all Democrat politicians. Shaprton, Jackson, Clinton, etc... He partied with them all the time. I feel that he saw an opening to appeal to Republicans so he changed his personal branding. To me it feels like this whole thing is just Trump marketing himself.

I think you are right about this. I have always said Trump was motivated by ego. I learned to live with this back in 2016 because I came to the realization that I don't care why someone is doing the right thing, I just care that they are doing the right thing.

Say what you will about Trump, he has consistently done what I wanted done. So he does it for his own ego. I don't care.

I now believe that because of his own ego, Trump is going to go after the people who corruptly stole the 2020 election and he is also going to go after the deep state corruption and abuse of power in the Justice department too.

He is going to go after them with a vengeance that nobody else will be able to match because it won't be personal for them.

Trump is going to make it personal, and I very much want someone who *HATES* these people to go after them.

Trump has the mindset I want to pursue these corrupt bastards behind the scenes.

As a bonus, we will get massive numbers of liberals shrieking in agony to see Trump come back to bedevil their minds again. Are you familiar with the term "Schadenboner"?

All he needs is about another week in his summer-fall manse at Trump National in Bedminster NJ, and may have actually accomplished that this year.

After moving to Florida and going through estate planning, why would he move to NJ? It is a high income and property tax state. When Rush moved to Florida, NY tax authorities hounded him for over a decade. Trump doesn't need NY and NJ going after him.

If Trump isn’t going to have drastically improved hiring capabilities, then I don’t want him in there either.

You seem unaware that Trump was limited in hiring people because the Senate Republicans made it clear to him they would not approve anyone that wasn't acceptable to the "don't rock the boat" rino brigade in the Senate.

McConnell and the rino team told him not to nominate anyone outside the swamp dwellers or they would not approve them.

McConnell also refused to adjourn the Senate so Trump could make recess appointments precisely to prevent Trump from putting someone into power who was both loyal to him and someone who would do things the rinos wouldn't like, like firing James Comey.

You blame Trump, but you should be blaming Mitch the bitch and his consortia of milquetoast weenies who are part of the swamp.

My concern about Trump is his age. He will be 78 in 2024. Even older than Biden in 2020.

As my 85 year old pastor used to say, "If GOD has something for you to do, He'll preserve you like a pickle."

I am completely aware of everything you pointed out. Unfortunately, that doesn’t defend general Kelly, or Jarvanka, or Omarosa Manigault, or Scaramucci etc...

Trump has massive problems in judging character, because he’s kind of a nice guy.
