November brings Nicole and mid-term elections. Nicole has developed with subtropical characteristics in the Atlantic Ocean, taking aim for storm weary Florida.
A subtropical system has some central convection fairly near the center surrounding a warming core existing in the mid-levels of the troposphere. Nicole may further develop into a tropical storm.

Thanks for your local report. That's where my mother lives. She still had power when I spoke to her a little while ago.
Saw video earlier of some impressive flooding, they called it surge. Was that on the island?

Flagler Beach looking good right now , we passed high tide and the waves were 1/2 they were this morning. I think this morning were King Tides and full moon with overflow, across A1A.

Here comes the wind. Blowing a fine gale outside now. Raining hard. Happy to be dry and safe indoors.
Going to take a cat-nap and hope it lasts all night!

Rick Knabb tossed out Ft. Pierce. I think that’s a bit far north. I’ll go with Port St. Lucie.

A friend sent a vid from Merritt Island and it was fairly “breezy” over there. Barely blowing in Lakeland but its chilly and raining. Cooler air might dissipate the winds as it comes over Central Florida.

Local news reported 62 mph gusts at Juno pier and I didn't believe them, as I'm about 1K yards from the pier and hadn't felt anything close.
I think I believe them now! Wow - really picking up here.
