Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) is calling out former President Trump for not spending more of his $100 million war chest to boost Republican Senate candidates ahead of next week’s midterm elections.
“I will say by the way I wish Trump was spending some of his money,” Cruz said. “Trump’s got $100 million and he’s spending almost none of it to support these candidates.”
Cruz also accused Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) of withholding critical political dollars from “pro-Trump” candidates, while funneling money into races where “moderates” and Trump critics are running.
“It would be nice if Trump would spend some of that $100 million to help some of these candidates who Mitch is abandoning because they’re pro-Trump,” Cruz said. “Those are the two pockets of money that are there, and right now neither of them are spending in a number of these states. They’re not.”

Cruz doesn't have a PAC with $150 million in it like Trump does.
He has a point, but he should be saying it privately. I don’t like this ‘calling out’ nonsense. Don’t make trouble, at least publicly.

Maybe cruz should be better than and start one, instead he’s a sponge.
The energy and high visibility a trump rally brings cannot be priced. Cruz would be better off some times keeping his mouth shut.
Not sure why Trump has to carry the Republicans single handedly.

McConnell is trying to elect Republicans — just his kind of Republicans. Others are doing it — Cruz and DeSantis, to name just two, have been travelling, doing rallies for Republican candidates all over the country. They don’t get the kinds of massive crowds President Trump does, but they do draw and they’re helpful.
He is doing what he an do.

Cruz is saying we need to do more to get the conservatives elected, not Bushie-McConnell RINOs.
I’d love to see Ted challenge Ditch for Majority Leader, but if he beats him, McConnell will probably resign, and the Governor of Kentucky is a Democrat.
Rand is another. I’m sure Mike Lee would be out there, but he has a race of his own to attend to.

Those who don’t respond the way you expected are those who pay no attention to what Cruz say but what he does
And here’s one thing he does- he speaks out against Trump less than a week before the election
And if you don’t think Cruz is an establishment bushie there is another reason for your disconnect.
