Elon Musk's mass Twitter layoffs begin: Company seals its offices for ALL employees and says those who still have a job when the sun rises will get an email letting them know

Elon Musk's mass layoffs at Twitter have begun, with the company warning staff to brace for firing notices by email as it temporarily seals all its offices.

The company said in a memo on Thursday night that all employees will receive an email alert by 9am Pacific time Friday letting them know whether they still have a job at the company.

Twitter said its offices will be temporarily closed and all staff badge access will be suspended in order 'to help ensure the safety of each employee as well as Twitter systems and customer data.'

'If you are in an office or on your way to an office, please return home,' the memo said.

Twitter had a global workforce of some 7,500 employees at the end of 2021, and Musk reportedly plans to lay off up to half of them.

'In an effort to place Twitter on a healthy path, we will go through the difficult process of reducing our global workforce on Friday,' said the email.

Would love to see the looks on all those punks who are almost maxed out credit wise. Living the lifestyle of the rich and shameless as they aroused themselves stifling free speech now, out on the street with the lifestyle yanked out from underneath them still owing on their debts!!

I’d like to walk by and just crack a smile when direct eye contact bid made...

Some of you will have a long weekend. Others will have a permanent weekend.

I learned from a very wise person that a retired person can eventually have the outlook and philosophy that ‘every day is Saturday.’ Some of the ex Twitter staff may want to study this philosophy.

PS... The comment above about ‘leaning to coal mine’ is absolutely precious. Any Twitter employees who do not know how to code may want to investigate this. Recently Germany began removing a wind farm to get at the coal below.

I will be in San Fran and San Jose all of next week to see clients and partners, looking forward to hearing and seeing the lamentations of these people, especially the day after Election Day

“This is what President Trump should do to federal employees his first week in office upon his return.”

EXACTLY! I believe that he could make that happen. If he’s smart, he’s already having a few of his loyalists combing social media to begin identifying which ees get which email.

Not sure on that one. Sounds like a large base for Biden’s new IRS army to tap for bodies.

No need to “leapfrog” from Obama to Biden ees. There were some doozies hired during Trump’s years, too.

Now that he’s had some time to reflect, his next administration should be infinitely better.

Musk is terrorizing his remaining employees. And, considering Twitter's past Woke bias, that's a good thing.

It's a bit like electro-shock therapy.

But only Musk would even consider such a thing. He's got guts...and the money to prove that his gutsy actions rest on a solid foundation of rational thinking.

Unfortunately, there are laws to protect Federal employees from such actions. And to say the Federal government is a behemoth a gross understatement.

Twitter is a forum akin Free Republic...just bigger and more complex.

Shame on Twitter for not being unionized... as leftist as V1 was I’m really surprised they weren’t unionized.
