Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer is barely securing 50 percent of the vote in his reelection bid, according to Trafalgar Group’s latest poll.
The latest poll shows that Schumer is not doing well in his New York reelection bid. This poll also comes after one was released last night showing Republican Rep. Lee Zeldin surging in the gubernatorial race in the typically blue state.

Besides, it’s more than just Jews (excluding Orthodox) who vote liberal. If they were the only demographic in New York that voted heavily Democratic, it wouldn’t be enough. Black and Puerto Rican voters in New York also vote heavily Democratic, or at least have done so in the past. Beyond that, just your average person who falls into none of the demographics just mentioned tend to lean more Democratic in New York than in other places, or at least that’s true in the city. But there are still plenty of conservative leaning people in New York, both the state and the city.
What a blessing it would be for America to be rid of this horrid scumbag.
As much as I’d like to believe Schumer loses, it will never happen. There are more registered Democrats in three or four boroughs/counties of New York City than all of the registered Republicans in the state of New York. No chance he will lose and NY has closed primaries.
Reason # 1,438 why the 17th Amendment needs to be overturned. The rest of the state has no say in the election of Senators.
You are correct.. the parties and the lobbyists who provide the money, control who gets selected and then you have the subset feature of New York City and other urban areas just dominating who gets elected as senators.
Our founding fathers were certainly brilliant men.
