An emboldened cast of anonymous trolls spewed racist slurs and Nazi memes onto Twitter in the hours after billionaire industrialist Elon Musk took over the social network Thursday, raising fears of how his pledge of unrestricted free speech could fuel a new wave of online hate.
Twitter has struggled to enforce its rules against harassment and extremism, and the company has not yet published any broad-scale changes to its content-moderation policies.
But Musk, a self-described "free speech absolutist," has fiercely criticized the company's previous leaders as overly rigid and suppressive and said he would work to overturn some of the company's main enforcement mechanisms, such as indefinitely suspending accounts.
A wide range of anonymous Twitter accounts celebrated Musk's takeover and argued it meant the old rules against bigotry no longer applied.
"Elon now controls twitter. Unleash the racial slurs. K---S AND N-----S," said one account, using slurs for Jews and Black people. "I can freely express how much I hate n-----s . . . now, thank you elon," another said.

What WaPo (via SFGate) probably neglects to mention is that these ‘conveniently-timed’ so-called racist slurs and memes are prevalently TYPICAL of what leftists do to make a point.

I think you are onto something there. Don’t people who post on twitter have to give the system some identifying info, such as email address or similar? If so, don’t ban the bullies and abusive jerks; just let the forum know some ID info on the bullies and abusers. That alone should serve to keep things civil.

What you described is called doxxing and is considered one of the worst things that a person can do to someone else on the internet.
Also, there are people who want anonymous accounts because they are posting anti-government tweets from countries with nasty dictators.

The biggest problem with such vulgar posts is their being anonymous.
When these people are identified and publicly shamed, it will turn out they are all leftists who were willing to post these things to justify their need to control and restrict speech and thought.
They can’t even control themselves. They certainly have no ability or right to control anyone else.
If you are looking who to follow on TwitsRus, do not follow people who write K__kes or N-——rs in posts. See? problem solved, let them speak or express themselves freely into a vacuum where you can’t see or hear it.
The folks who fall into the categories you use as examples have a choice, they can become enraged or ignore the people who post crap against them.
If they choose to become enraged it just proves that the person who twitted (is that a word?) against them is able to CONTROL their EMOTIONS and MIND.
