Why Putin would want to blow up Nord Stream 2, and the advantages it gives him
The telegraph ^ | James crisp

Posted on 09/28/2022 1:29:11 PM PDT by NoLibZone

The Russian leader has a record of weaponising fuel supplies and believes his people can endure economic pain longer than western Europe

The suspected sabotage of the Nord Stream pipelines could be a page ripped straight from Vladimir Putin’s playbook of panic, escalation and misdirection.

The former KGB agent’s illegal war on Ukraine resulted in unprecedented Western sanctions against Moscow.

But the Russian president is confident that his people can endure economic pain longer and better than Europeans.

His calculation is that soaring gas prices and the cost of living crisis in a continent hopelessly addicted to Russian energy will turn the situation to his advantage.

European gas prices have been dropping for the last four days. On Tuesday, after news of the suspected attack, they rose by 20 per cent. The British price was up 33 per cent.

Correction: Paragraph 2

You are now joining people who are against Conservatives
who don’t back Russia’s invasion by calling these Conservatives (essentially) the poodles of Soros / Obama /
Biden / Schwabb?

Who the heck are "conservatives"? Were they the same ones who voted for an open border globalist like Bush not once, but twice?

Were they not the ones who kept Gore and Kerry from
becoming president?

You’re trying too hard.

I see, it’s the better of two evils strategy once again..Tell me, how’s that strategy worked out for the past 4+ decades?

In fact, it’s arguable Bush the globalist was worse or equally as bad as Gore or Kerry. The list is long to support this.

What do you expect people to do, when presented with Gore vs
Bush? Stay home? Same with Kerry/Bush?

The GOPe controlled the primaries. All we can do is vote
for the lesser of two evils.

We’d have been where we are now a decade ago if we had
allowed those two to be president.

We were fortunate enough to have a guy that could do end
runs on the GOPe, or we’d have had some other globalist
in 2016.

I’m amazed that FReepers are now defending the same cast of villains who brought us:

Iraq WMDs >> war where thousands died
Ukraine “Maidan” Coup 2014
Trump’s Ukraine Impeachment
Pushing Ukraine to join NATO, the long-declared Russian “go to war” red-line.

Now, FREEPERS suddenly love CNN, MSNBC, Victoria Nuland, etc etc etc.

This site is, and always has been, replete with neocons

Nothing is worse than Gore or Kerry, particularly Kerry.

That guy has brown nosed his way into dead center of the
globalist efforts.

I think you know that too.

What do you expect people to do, when presented with Gore vs Bush?

How about support a candidate who was not associated with the CIA and or insider politics? How about an outsider who didn't make a life career out of government?

Btw, they can present whoever they choose, be it a globalist or pedophile or traitor. No one has a gun to anyone's head forcing them to support these people. No?

We paid the big price for the better of two evils cock'n bull sham, didn't we?

Nothing is worse than Gore or Kerry, particularly Kerry.

Except the globalist who won, or who they said won.

You really had to reach for that one, didn’t you.

Europe was NEVER going to completely cut off Russian Nat Gas supply, their people would FREEZE TO DEATH IN THE COLD AN DARK OF WINTER!

The EUROWEINIES in charge would make much noise and lots of blather about how EVIL the Russians are but they are not going to CRAP ON THEIR OWN DINNER PLATE.

So for awhile shut down deliveries and hope to make up supply elsewhere, restart the Nuke plants, cut down your forests and burn wood, or burn (OH MY GOD) COAL.

The ENVIRONAZIS would have their heads under any of those circumstances, do none of the above and the regular citizens would have their heads when Grandma and Grampa die from the cold!

Name one third party run that was successful here in the
United States over the last 100 years.

All it winds up doing is splitting the Conservative vote.

That’s how Clinton got elected twice.

The Clinton years opened to door to what is taking place
now, and as the result of a third party run, twice.

If we don’t get a Conservative on the ballot, we’re going to
wind up with lesser of two evils.

None of us like it. It’s just the way it is.

I didn’t vote for Bush in 2000.

I saw him coming a mile away.

And it's all legitimate these two corrupt parties are still on the top of the heap? I don't think so. The Republicans lined up to stab Trump the outsider in the back. Just like the Democrats. No? So it's no surprise both beltway parties are still in control.

Remember the Maine redux?

I thijk the heat of the Havana sun overcooked the Maine's boilers. What a waste that war was. We should've left that whole part of the world to the Spanish.

My plan for Puerto Rico is for President Trump to make AOC Czarina of PR in 2025 and spin it off to Venezuela.
