Read and heed my tagline. The democrats let black people murder white people at will and then come for white people’s weapons so we can not defend ourselves from the dark skinned democrat party’s assaisins.

Leftists deliberately fudge up gun stats, because they want experts to correct them. Why? Because, they want to point the finger at the gun expert who actually knows the specifics about muzzle velocity and other intricate details about guns. They want to show their supporters how ridiculous it is that any average citizen would know this information in the first place and that these type of gun nuts are dangerous people.

I really want an AR that fires a slug at 6000 feet per second!

The President lies!

More of how gun control is more of that news media driven sort of thing as opposed to actually dealing with violent crime and reducing the criminal and tragic (suicides and accidents) misuse of firearms.

Biden is a pathological liar. His motto is “Why tell the truth when a lie sounds so much better?”

“no place in a civil society.”
Irrelevant to the 2nd Amendment to begin with. However my local police walk around with plate armor and m4’s. If they feel that is a bare minimum requirement just to get them through their day, I have serious concerns about the “civility” of society.

The man speaking these absurdities is the same man who is commander and chief of an army that recently adopted a new service rifle because apparently 5.56 doesn’t quite so the job. This is the same man who will also insist that a person would need a jet fighter to take resist a tyrannical government, yet a shirtless man in a buffalo hat and a gaggle of other unarmed and unorganized people almost literally managed to overthrow the U.S. government on January 6th.

Advocates of more restrictive gun control laws describe AR-15s and AK-47s as “assault rifles,” although there is no technical definition for the term.

Back in the 80s when I served in the Army National Guard the M16s we carried were classified as "assault rifles" which was a kind of "small arm". The term that was made up years later by gun control advocates is "assault weapon" not "assault rifle".

I’ve been reloading my ammo since the 60’s. 223 factory loads are around 3000 fps. Changing powder loads or types you can improve the velocity. Pistol ammo is typically under 2000 fps. Some pistols are made for rifle ammo, but velocities are limited because of the short barrel lengths (the powder doesn’t burn completely)
I double loaded a 218 Bee round and fired it in my Thompson Center Contender pistol once. Rookie mistake, Lee Loader. Had a very difficult time extracting the case. Lots of smoke. Lee Loaders were my first experience at reloading in 1968.

My AR shoots faster than the speed of light. There are targets bleeding today on Mars from shots I haven’t even fired yet.

More on fps. The 25 aught 6 is a 30 06 necked down to 25 caliber. About 4000 fps. Good long range varmint round. My brother could kill a gopher at 300 yards. I have a friend that has a sniper rifle, can put 5 rounds in 3” at 800 yards. Shoots a lot of hogs (farm country here).
I have an RCBS Junior loader I have been using since the early 70’s.
Don’t forget to save your brass. And don’t forget to re-size it if you get into loading your own. Pick up brass at the shooting range too.

Plus force = mass x velocity. The AR-15 has a little bit more velocity than most 308 deer hunting rounds (2800 fps vs. 3100 fps) yet a 308 round has three times the mass a 5.56 round does. Thus the 308 hits with much more destructive force. A deer rifle is MUCH more powerful than an AR-15.

The speed of the bullet is five times that that comes out of the muzzle of most weapons...

Lemme see. The 220 Swift is >4,000 fps. Five times 4000 is 20,000 fps. Wow. I didn't realize my ARs were that powerful. Time to change the barrels out.

“ Just buy a shotgun”

unless you are shooting slugs from a rifled barrel it’s only good out to around 25 yards. But for close in, yeah they are awesome.

Harris said in May. “It was designed for a specific purpose, to kill a lot of human beings quickly. An assault weapon is a weapon of war, with no place, no place in a civil society.”

And the IRS has exactly how many of these?

No, they call them "assault weapons".
