The special master overseeing the Mar-a-Lago documents investigation has ordered former President Donald Trump's lawyers to back up out-of-court assertions that the FBI may have planted evidence at the property during their search last month.
Judge Raymond Dearie, the court-appointed special master, said in a filing Thursday that Trump's team needs to submit a sworn declaration saying if they believe the Justice Department included any items on their "inventory" of materials taken from Mar-a-Lago that were not actually seized during the search.
The declaration must include "a list of any specific items set forth in the Detailed Property Inventory that Plaintiff asserts were not seized from the Premises on August 8, 2022," Dearie wrote in the order.

Yes, a thousand times yes. I understood it to be conjecture, and a common sense one, knowing how the FBI planted evidence over the Russian hoax. Remember the picture the FBI released of documents on the floor? You talk about a trashy, Junior High mentality.
Now, will the Special Master make the same demands of the DOJ to back up their assertions of what they legally claim Trump is guilty of.
It’s damn near impossible to prove since the rats from the FBI prevented an inventory to be done on site. Once they got the boxes back they could add anything they wanted.

This SM may just be taking Trump’s statements literally and giving Trump an opportunity to submit any evidence that he has. So this could be good if Trump does in fact have any evidence that the FBI planted evidence. If Trump does not have evidence in that regard then so what? what can they do to him for making a speculative statement?

The Special Master is charged with reviewing documents, and separating personal, attorney privileged, and anything they think might be classified — not creating a he said, she said court record.

He already farmed out the review of ‘classified’ documents and now he’s playing politics with comments made in the public space. So, the Special Master appointed another Special Master?

Once they took documents and items that weren't specifically outlined in the original search warrant, I'd say the FBI can't be trusted to prove that they didn't plant evidence.

I’m not sure Trump would even know each and every document in the entire collection, because he didn’t pack the boxes. That was done for him. There’s a team who does rhis for Presidents when they leave the whitehouse so it’s ready for whomever is deemed President.
For Trump to have to acknowledge each document is also wrong, because the items taken should have been listed on the warrant.
Well, God knows and no matter what corruption cooks up, Trump will be vindicated.
The judge wants to know if Trump has any specific items he would like to claim as not at MAL when the FBI raided. Seems a reasonable thing to ask, although it was not part of Cannon’s order to categorize the items seized. The judge seems to be going off script quite a bit.
There’s no way to prove it. That’s why its the perfect setup. The FBI finally screwed him for good this time.
