Apparently I’m intellectually challenged. We’re told regularly to conserve electricity, buy LED bulbs, purchase energy- efficient washers, ovens, dishwashers, etc. In the summer we’re asked to keep ac to a minimum and the same for heat in winter. Because, climate change.
And yet.. we’re told to purchase a car or truck that runs on....ELECTRICITY. Electricity must be generated from a SOURCE. It’s not accessible by plugging into ...air. That I fail to grasp the genius of electric vehicles for millions makes me “unreasonable” according to my EV driving friends.
yea.....except they will only spend 3 minutes at the pump.
But they could be caught with a dead electric vehicle. A famous guy once said "Stupid is as stupid does."
How in hell do those normal, common sense vehicles back out of those parking bays?

I used to like Teslas but the more i see them they are all exactly the same, Zero soul, like the Borg.
I would might rent one for the weekend to enjoy the acceleration but that would be it.
I would feel like a fool owning one.

What a friggin’ waste of time....and how much are they paying. They sure shouldn’t be giving it away for free....like my Town does.

I just fueled up an ICE vehicle yesterday, and there were no lines...Just like the week before, and before that, going back years.
In fact, even at Costco, I can be 5 back in line, and I’m out of there quickly.
Btw, are they going to provide security at all these charging stations? What are the women supposed to do, just sit in their EV’s for hours waiting for their turn to charge up?

I dont drive much and there is a lot to like about EV cars. But I have never paid more that 17K for a car. When they produce a EV with at least 200 mile range for less than 20K, I’d seriously consider it. Maybe by the time my 50 MPG VW wears out I’ll be in the market. But I’ll probably be dead by then.

I've been running my furnace since May. And before that.
Gas stations provide NO security and drivers are frequently targeted there for robberies and carjackings.
I don’t hate EVs in fact I find them to be intriguing but they’re at best a second commuter car.🤔
Yes. There is nothing wrong with EV if the limitations aren’t a major concern for you.
The problem is people who pretend it’s better for the environment when it’s not. And people who are so bad at math that they are against building new power plants yet want more people to drive EV.
