Actually, the DemocRats have been going after handguns for a very long time. The 1934 NFA initially targeted handguns, but the leadership caved on that because the majority wouldn’t support it. And the 1968 GCA specifically targeted cheap imported handguns (Saturday Night Specials) and banned them. And every major anti-gun bill has at least initially had handgun bans or restrictions in them. Including the 1994 AWB that banned “high capacity” magazines for pistols as well as rifles.
So, you’re saying the last time they went after handguns was 28 years ago...Pretty much reinforcing my point.

That term, invented by democRAT race bigots, arose from their belief that very inexpensive pistols were only good for use during "niggertown Saturday night" criminal festivities.
In fact, they were frequently bought by honest poor folks who lived in such neighborhoods, for defense against the festive criminals.
