The late-blooming 2022 Atlantic Tropical Storm season is making up for lost time. A tropical system has developed in the Central Caribbean Sea. This storm system is forecast to threaten continental U.S. interests next week. While the tropical wave passed south of a key geographic area known as Hebert's Box #1, it will very likely pass through Hebert's Box #2. These boxes are useful as predictors of hurricanes that will strike South Florida. For more information about Hebert's Boxes, see Hebert Box. See graphic below which illustrated the Hebert's Boxes.

Hey there, Leni. Please check in when you can to let us know how you fared through the storm.
Love Folly Beach!
You guys able to keep the humidity out of your house? Florida humidity + no electricity/air conditioning = mold problems, unfortunately.
LOL!
In the middle of a press conference.
Looking for some hair to sniff.
Wind, rain and no power in middle NC.
Finally heard from our good friends in Venice, FL (South Venice). As expected, their cell service was down for over 24 hours. They still have no electricity, and sustained some damage to their house. Roof leaking, and other “damage” but I don’t know any further details now. Just glad they’re OK!
Thank you for your local report.

Those enduring or dealing with the hurricane and its aftermath carry on.
Those of us that are not, consider donating a little more to the Freepathon. It’s behind and this is a priceless forum for many.
Glad you and your husband made it through!
It must’ve been so stressful listening to all those distress calls.
TG for those emergency radios.
I am going to get one.
When you get a chance, give your dogs nice soup bones to chew on.
When Irene came through NY, someone gave my dog a soup bone with lotsa meat on it. It really helped him deal with the situation. Perked him up. Up to that point, I didn't even consider that my dog was traumatized by the situation. I was too busy cleaning up the mess Irene left.
THat sounds horrible. Months and years to rebuild.
Biden had better think about rebuilding southwest Florida before sending a trillion to rebuild Ukraine!
America First!! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Oh, no.
Does that include Apex? I have grandkids there.
The boy cannot live without internet! 🤷🏼♀️😹🙏🏽
I had no idea there were so many houses and well-populated communities there! When did this all happen?
It started up in the 1970s. That’s when we quit going and switched to the SC coast. Then it got all built up, so then switched to the last little scrap of Old Florida left (no, not telling!). Last time I was on Sanibel was about 20 years ago and it was all built up then. We stayed on North Captiva and it looks about the same as it did then. I loved the old Sanibel of the 1960s.
Covid saw gobs of folks move to Florida. Waterfront properties quadrupled in price in the space of a year in some places. Crazy. I was hoping they’d stop the WFH stuff and prices would go back down, but not happening. :(
