Sen. Raphael Warnock (D-Ga.) is currently holding a 2-point lead over Republican challenger Herschel Walker in the latest CBS News-YouGov poll.

The poll, published on Wednesday, found that 51 percent of respondents supported Warnock, who defeated former Sen. Kelly Loeffler (R) in a special election last year, compared to 49 percent for Walker, who has the endorsement of former President Trump.

A lot of various distraction remarks here. A basic question from out state. Why was Walker so easily nominated. I have watched a lot of clips on U-tube, etc. Walker seems to be just dumb to the point of retardation. Warnock should be an easy pickup, instead it is very problematic. A GOP candidate who makes Fetterman after his stroke look like Socrates is ridiculous. Why was such an inarticulate candidate who seems unable to speak a coherent sentence so easily nominated? For me Walker is an embarrassment and remarks on this forum such as ‘He will do alright’, ‘He is a nice (or good) guy’ or ‘He really isn’t that dumb’ only prove the sheer lack of seriouness of both posters here and the Georgia GOP.

Are Georgia voters that anti-American and stupid?
Don’t answer. Rhetorical.

Dems would have to be up by more than 2 points to win since polls are skewed in their favor (plus lower dem turn out in a mid term). So even if this is true it hardly means the Democrat would win.
(Unless they stuff the ballot box again)

“...respondents to the CBS News-YouGov poll...”

Far as anyone needs to read.

Have they run any ads for Walker?

I haven't seen any. I don't watch local TV. In fact, I'm an hour east of Atlanta in a small town and the antenna only picks up NBC.

The buried the fact that this was Registered voters. My guess is that Walker has a slight lead with likely voters.

Exactly right. Those polls are made in an effort to hide the cheat..

I'm afraid you don't have your facts straight - probably getting info from the news media, which never tells it straight.

Also, I think you're forgetting that the gov has to keep an eye out for the voting rights agitators and the Dem-appointed judges like Stacy Abrams' sister . . .

. . . the rest of the story is that they kept "drop boxes", but they're only inside election board offices, and only available during business hours. So no opportunity to dump hundreds of ballots at a time. The usual suspects are complaining bitterly . . .

. . . also, they kept "mail in ballots" - but now you have to send in with your application a copy of your drivers license or other ID. And you cannot request an automatic mail-in ballot unless you are over 65, disabled, etc. . . usual suspects also complaining . . .

So - we're back to the old controlled absentee ballot system, but they're calling it "mail in ballots".

Here is a link to read for yourself.

Absentee Voting in Georgia

Any and all polls of recent vintage reflect another ‘Silent Majority’.-—those Rs hesitant to proclaim their conservative creds to pollsters or anyone else for fear of being ridiculed, stalked, run over by automobile, or spied upon.

Even the accurate Trafalgar group pollsters advise conservatives are vastly under-sampled for the reasons stated.

I like this silent strategery. Ds won’t fully see us coming. Scoff at polls but vote your heart out, on election day.

I take it you’ve never been a NFL fan, or a college football fan.

Herschel is a tribute to overcoming a broader culture, whose parents taught him that there were no excuses in America.

A ‘smooth tongue’ is not a rational qualification for anything.

So no opportunity to dump hundreds of ballots at a time.

So, you are 100% confident that the election folks in:

Chatham, Richmond, Clarke, Dekalb, Rockdale, Newton, Fulton, Clayton, Henry, Douglas, Muscogee, and Dougherty County are going to play hub the rules?

My bad, I forgot Cobb and Gwinnett, both formerly blood red, now as blue as the sky.

These counties are the fastest growing ones in the state. They’re all, also, the Bluest ones in the state.

Dekalb County destroyed their ballots within a couple of months of the election. Raffensberger, et Al did nothing. Fulton Cty destroyed their ballots after Favorito and VoterGA were progressing with their audit lawsuit. Rafdensberger, et al did nothing.

I’m not forgetting about her sister. Abrams has perfected the ability to hide behind other organizations to bring lawsuits that miraculously end up in her sister’s courtroom. So, there’s no conflict.

I’m the 2021 runoff, a Fulton Cty election official stated that they were adjudicating over 90% of the mail in ballots. Over 90% of the people in Fulton were incapable of properly filling out a ballot, to turn point that unknown folks, in a locked room, were deciding who they were voting for.

Let’s not forget about the machines themselves and how it was proven that they were hooked up to the internet.

Disucussions about what Coffey Cty dealt with are for another thread.

So, you can have faith in Kemp and the rest. I do not. Raffensberger was caught lying about the Consent Decree and they did nothing. I have no faith in anything they do.

And even if everything does go to the Republicans this election, by 2026 and all the liberals moving in, by 2026 Georgia is another NC, Wash, Oregon, Nevada, Virginia, Michigan, Wisconsin, etc etc. Republican throughout. But a few cities and counties control the agenda.

My back of the envelope 2022 Senate races prediction:

Ohio, Wisconsin, Nevada and North Carolina are sure wins.

Arizona, Georgia, and Pennsylvania are probable wins.

New Hampshire conceivable but probably out of reach.

Washington, Colorado, likely out of reach.

Result: 53 Republican senators

At least 52 are needed to prevent the likes of Mitt Romney becoming the Republican equivalent of Joe Manchin and holding the party hostage.

Right. It was just too much to ask for Trump to pick someone who could utter a complete sentence.
