Arizona GOP governor warns against 'bullies' in his party (RINO lectures)

“It’s worth reminding ourselves, the point of winning elections isn’t just to win elections. It’s to govern with conservative ideals that preserve the American Dream and improve the lives of regular Americans,” he said in his speech.

He argued that a “dangerous strain of big government activism has taken hold” in his party and that a “good many small government conservatives have morphed into bullies – people who are very comfortable using government power to tell companies and people how to lead their lives,” which he noted is a departure from the more traditional Republican embrace of less intrusive government.

He added that “a vocal corner of conservative politics is defined more by attitude – and anger – than commitment to a specific set of ideals” and that “a growing segment of today’s conservatives are just as happy bossing us around and telling us – and businesses – how to lead our lives as the progressive left is.”

Ducey argued that Republicans should return to their roots by trying to persuade voters with a commitment to limited government and by embracing the attitude of “happy warriors,” suggesting that rhetoric laced with anger and grievance – a Trump hallmark – is the wrong approach.

“Being bullies isn’t the path,” he said. “Clearly neither is being royalists. We’re a nation that chose Constitution over King – and it’s best we keep it that way.”

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell unsuccessfully tried to recruit Ducey, who has remained popular in Arizona despite his rift with Trump, to run for the US Senate as the GOP tries to unseat incumbent Democratic Sen. Mark Kelly.

Trump taunted Ducey during that time, releasing a statement at one point saying that “MAGA will never accept RINO Governor Doug Ducey of Arizona running for the US Senate,”

Haha, then what is it?

Forget the election; let’s just move on to governing, shall we?

“Bullying” is a relative term. It all depends on who is the object of the bullying.

For years the Establishment Republicans pooh-poohed the more conservative of their brethren, with admonitions of “go along to get along”. But this proved to be a one-way street, always moving to “moderate” positions, and never advancing any of the commitments to the support of the rule of law and the interpretations of the US Constitution.

But finally the more individualistic personalities had enough of this discouragement and sometimes outright shunning, and with the rise of Donald J. Trump, they had found their spokesman for all the underling passions which have driven them for years. Once the genie was uncorked from the bottle, there was no restoring the status quo.

“There is a tide in the affairs of men
Which, taken at the flood, leads on to fortune;
Omitted, all the voyage of their life
Is bound in shallows and in miseries.
On such a full sea are we now afloat;
And we must take the current when it serves,
Or lose our ventures.”

William Shakespeare, the voice of Brutus in “Julius Caesar”.

Ducey of AZ and Kemp of GA were in on the Steal.

RINOs love to lecture from their ivory towers. Can't wait till Ducey is out. Kemp only won his primary due to Dominion. If Lake or Mastriano become governor, we might just get a true audit of those cheating machines.

Weak leaders bring hard times. Arizona needs a real leader like Kari Lake!

if you’re not bullying the Left, you’re getting bullied by them

it’s one or the other and if you do not decide, the Left chooses for you

we didn’t write these rules

and there’s only one way to win under them

make life unlivable for Leftists everywhere until it’s just not worth it for them to be a constant problem to everyone else

Right out of the box, I must say, I do not hate Doug Ducey.
In many ways he has been a pretty fair Governor. In the same manner that Gerald Ford was a pretty fair President.
For me, the problem with Ducey is, he forgot Lincoln's axiom.

You can please all the people some of the time.
You can please some of the people all the time
BUT you cannot please all the people all the time.

I think Ducey tried to please ALL the people ALL the time.

Says to embrace being “happy warriors”

I’ve only heard that phrase used for one politician, democrat Hubert Humphrey. Who was also a loser.

This idiot Ducey is not criticizing Trump, he’s attacking the republican candidate who is leading. And she’s perfectly nice, not a bully.

The Rinos are traitors in every sense of the word.

This is why the supposed center is always moving left in its beliefs. Republicans give in and compromise when they are in power. Dems act like a ratchet. They hold tight when they are out of power and move as far left as they can when they have power … like now.

When I read that there are fewer young people describing themselves as liberals, I have to remember that the beliefs of liberals are so much farther left now than they once were.

“Bully” must also be a trigger term for RINO’s and libtards. Way back in the 2016 election a libtard I know went on and on about “what a bully” Trump is.

msn states, “Ducey, who has remained popular”, obviously has spent little time in Arizona. Ducey has been, is now, and ever will be a Milquetoast and not a leader.

Where to start...

1st off , if you don’t win you aren’t governing squat, conservative or otherwise.

...have morphed into bullies – people who are very comfortable using government power to tell companies and people how to lead their lives,”

2. Like CRT, DEI, GES ? That Rinos and Marxist den progs use to bully folks and business ? So who’s the actual bully? FBI been pushing its weight around also.

“a vocal corner of conservative politics is defined more by attitude – and anger – than commitment to a specific set of ideals

3 like BLM, ANTIFA and 2 solid years of burning federal courthouses, businesses and whole sections of multiple major cities resulting in buko deaths and billions of damage ?

happy warriors,” suggesting that rhetoric laced with anger and grievance

4 cuz there’s nothing that makes warriors happier than white surrender flags and gags ?

We’re a nation that chose Constitution over King – and it’s best we keep it that way.”

5 Like all the crap king Josef has enacted with over 100 executive orders ?

MAGA will never accept RINO Governor Doug Ducey of Arizona running for the US Senate,”

6. Feeling frogy?, ditch the election machines and do a 1 day I.d
Required hand counted vote and let’s just see what the Voteing citizens really want.

There isn’t a term for this BS rationalizing but I will use an analogy:

Liberals use government employees to tear down American flags and put up rainbow flags.

Conservatives rail against this saying its a waste of government resources and promotes evil.

When Conservatives win the next election, they use government employees to take down the fag flags and put back up the American flags.

Rinos then call them hypocrites.

When you use government resources for evil, sometimes government resources are needed to fix the problem later.

I actually don’t think Ducey is smart enough to pull it off.
I personally think he is just a political puppet being controlled by where ever the winds blow.
He REALLY wanted to make Cindy McCain a Senator but backed down when the AZ GOP said NO WAY.
Instead he stabbed back at them by placing the useless McSally in who then got her clock cleaned.
