The office of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis on Tuesday slammed a class action lawsuit filed by illegal immigrants flown to Martha’s Vineyard last week, saying the journey was done on a voluntary basis.

The lawsuit, filed in the District of Massachusetts, alleges that DeSantis and others “designed and executed a premeditated, fraudulent, and illegal scheme centered on exploiting this vulnerability for the sole purpose of advancing their own personal, financial and political interests.” […]

(Gov. DeSantis’ spokeswoman Taryn) Fenske provided Fox News with a copy of a consent form – available in English and Spanish – that she said was given to migrants before they boarded.

The form reads: “I agree to hold the benefactor or its designed representatives harmless of all liability arising out of or in any way relating to any injuries and damages that may occur during the agreed transport to locations outside of Texas until the final destination in Massachusetts.” …

They’re not. They are seeking asylum.

If They were lied to, probably illegal.

DeSantis got way over his skis on this one.

The governor they’re targeting passed law school and the bar, unlike the mannequin in chief. Bases are covered.

One is a private agreement that may be entered by anyone. There are a zillion contracts with noncitizens. The lawsuit contends violation of constitutional rights. The illegal aliens have no constitutional guarantees as they are neither born citizens or naturalized

So two very different questions.

The forms were not allegedly signed. They were signed.

No one is saying they have no standing to sue.
I would say they have no standing to enter the US illegally. But that is just me.

“One is a private agreement that may be entered by anyone. There are a zillion contracts with noncitizens.”

Then we can soon expect the plaintiffs to have their case thrown out, counter sued and charged with contempt.

Yea maybe we should sue them for invading our country, bleeding us dry, costing the lives of border agents by their selfish illegal immigration and getting on our welfare rolls, wasting our tax dollars. Of course they have no assets to sue over. Just makes me furious they are so entitled as to think they have the right to sue, when they are here illegally!

Can you imagine a group of Americans busting into any other country in the world illegally, then suing said country for not being treated with kid gloves?
It’s insanity!
