Once upon a time comedy was meant to make you laugh by poking fun at real life things. Things that may offend, and while most people laughed it off, it has become blasphemy to even consider talking about such things in today’s woke society. “Wokeness” has started to creep into the world by extreme Leftists, and real comedy has become a thing of the past.
Saturday Night Live is a prime example, and if you thought it couldn’t get anymore woke, think again.
The show added its first ever nonbinary cast member to the lineup who will make regular appearances every weekend.
Actor Molly Kearney will join SNL for its 48th season, meaning it’s time to say goodbye to the show we once knew.
Kearney rejects the gender “binary” and does not identify as a man nor a woman, but instead opts for gender-neutral pronouns instead.
This comes after a mass exodus of actors who were longtime characters on the show left. Kate McKinnon, Pete Davidson, Aidy Bryant, and Kyle Mooney have all decided to move on, however it is unclear why they decided to go.
From Alec Baldwin’s Donald Trump to Jim Carey’s Joe Biden, almost every show has someone impersonating a political figure, usually aimed at bashing the Right.

The only good moment on SNL in recent years was Bill Burr’s opening monologue.
“The humorous premise of the “Pat” skits were the other characters trying to determine Pat’s gender without offending Pat by asking questions but getting ambiguous answers.”
I had happen to me in real life. Was doing divorce intake work for a law firm many years ago. Person comes and says they want a divorce. I could not tell if they were man or woman. Heavy build and shoulders like a NFL linebacker, but other features were more feminine, voice pitch was middle range so no help there. Got my intake sheet out and started asking question.
What is your name? “Pat Smith”
Spouses name? “Jerry/Jerri” I did not think to ask for spelling.
Any children (hoping to get mother or father of some #)? “NO”
How are you employed (hoping for fireman, welder or some occupation back then that would have been gender specific)?
“US Army”
How is your spouse employed? “US Army”
Finally, asked for drivers license using excuse needed address and other info off of it and was relived to see Sex: Female.
Back then, their comedy was understood by everyone. Then they became Northeast centric, then New York City centric. They are targeting a ever diminishing audience. Not a good plan.
Anyone offended by Saturday Night Live has to look in the mirror and ask themselves why they're watching.
Is it because the show used to be funny? Is it because I have nothing else to do and there's not much else on television at that time?
Nonbinary?
Meaning octal, decimal, or hexadecimal?
I consider late 80s/early 90s to be SNL’s peak, even better than the seventies.
This is news? Must be a very, very slow day.
But never-the-less, people will post on this thread, “It hasn’t been funny since…”
If you go back and watch entire old shows, there were funny sketches, but on the whole, huge parts of each show were not funny. It’s always been hit or miss.
But I doubt most folks on this site have watched in 40 years.
Lorne Micheal’s has said it was always best when you were 16 to 20. No matter what years those were.
Watched what? 😂👍 You are correct.
When SNL was still pretty good (”living in a van down by the river”):

Don't forget Jane Curtain, Laraine Newman and Garrett Morris.

MORE Cowbell
Use to be one of the funniest shows on TV....not anymore...haven’t watched in years!!!!
Chemistry, too.
OMG! SNL has disavowed Pat!
It was funny in the early to mid 90’s.
Glad to hear that Sandler isn’t libiot.
