Let the grinning Germans pay full price for Russian oil and gas, withhold a percentage for Russian reparations to Ukraine. BTW the Germans should be paying reparations to Poland. The Germans invaded Poland, brutally conquered it, exploited it and then left it to the tender mercies of the communists for fifty years.

So an extra $40 billion doesn’t matter.

It’s an avoidance cost.

If Russia was allowed to keep Ukraine, they’d conscript Ukrainians as soldiers, and they would have Ukrainian arms factories and resources. It would cost us half a trillion to defeat Russia in the next war.

German Economy Minister Robert Habeck noted on Thursday, at the sidelines of the G7 trade ministers meeting in Brandenburg, that Ukraine will need around $350 billion to reconstruct itself.

Well, cough it up, Robert.

I sincerely disagree, we should Eliminate ALL Benefits for Public Employee’s nationwide and send that money to Ukraine, and if it isn’t enough we should CUT the Salaries of all Public Employee’s in half and use that money too.

No America and Europe should fund Ukraine until Russia is pushed out. Russia should be forced to pay reparations.

It goes well beyond simply "reparations." The plan, certainly since 2014 at least, if not longer, has been to destabilize and split Russia. Having all its resources under WEF/Globalist control will pay for a lot of world-wide woke/green social-engineering , and will ensure the primacy of the US Dollar for a bit longer. We are the globalist-marxist ideologues now.

But you can expect Russia to resist, to the point of nukes.

All political salaries halved immediately, and watch this nonsense stop.

We rebuilt Germany following WWII. It’s time for Germany to pay it forward.

Everyone knows we can’t pay $30 trillion down. It might as well be $300 trillion. Why not $3 quadrillion? All the Fed has to do is keep hitting the zero button and we get richer and richer.

That is just a fraction of what it would take to keep Ukraine afloat. And, unless Russia assumes full control of Ukraine or Trump or an American First President takes over, Ukraine will become Palestine, a terrorist constantly trying to launch insurgencies and continuing to cost taxpayers billions.

Don’t worry Comrade Ivan, Russia is getting record revenues for their oil and gas!

so Russia has lots of money and will be able to pay lots of reparations for all the unnecessary damage they caused by starting this war on Feb. 23rd

until then, enjoy the sanctions

If Russian assets locked up in Europe and other places is not enough, next they could pay with oil and natural gas.. for maybe limited sanctions relief. Someone with great negotiating skills would have to be driving it. Now who could that be.

Ukraine to need $350B for reconstruction

Should be no problem.

They just need to do the same as Biden and democrats have done in the last 2 years in the U.S., and produce money out of thin air. Just put all on a credit card (national debt) and never expect to pay it back.

Get it from Russia, and pay the US back for the weapons they purchased.

At what point does it just become cheaper to just give every Ukrainian some money to go live in a less shitty country

Agree and this is why many of us have been pushing back on the war as best we can. We are in a dangerous place.

So the American taxpayer should continue to finance the Ukraine, even tho we’re deeply in debt?

The reparations should come from Russia. Given the encouragement you’ve given for the invasion, maybe you should do your bit. Think of it as penance.

“ and never expect to pay it back.”

Oh, they’ll pay some of it back. The Big Guy gets 10%. Nancy, Adam, Linda G, Mitch, Mitt et. al. They’ll all get some.
