Former Vice President Mike Pence reveals in a new book that he was angry but not afraid on Jan. 6, 2021, when rioters at the U.S. Capitol were chanting for him to be hung,
In the memoir “So Help Me God,” Pence details the anger he felt despite the threat to his life if the rioters found him.
“I was angry at what I saw, how it desecrated the seat of our democracy and dishonored the patriotism of millions of our supporters, who would never do such a thing here or anywhere else,” Pence wrote on the back cover the book, which was obtained by Axios.
“I was not afraid, but I was angry,” he said.
Pence was one of the main targets during the riot after he refused to go along with former President Trump’s idea that the vice president did not have to certify the votes of the Electoral College

We are NOT A DEMOCRACY! STOP SAYING THAT!
He was drool-stupid on January 6.
Agreed. It makes my blood boil hearing that phrase.
Nah...Traitor
Pence: STICK IT!!!!
Just to be clear, F M P.
Judas got himself a book deal bribe for a ghostwritten book that few will read let alone pay for. But Judas gets the advance (bribe), and pledges to stay on the reservation.
Let’s see what the future holds for Judas.
Brave, brave Sir Michael! He quickly caved away!
Isn’t Mike pretty much, yesterday’s news? He has no political future, does he?
No heads on pikes means there was no insurrection.
Brings to mind that famous quote by Emerson: "The louder he talked of his honor, the faster we counted our spoons."
Angry about a tiny minority creating an exaggerated threat. Yawns-off Democrat election cheating and unequal justice.
After signing a State RFRA Act as Indiana governor, WimpyPence caved to perverts’ demands and signed an amendment partially nullifying the RFRA Act.
Bending over to leftists and betraying conservatives is a well-established trait for Pence.
Wipe your fat butt with your book’s pages...best use for them.
Supporters, who would never do such a thing.
He’s right not one pro election rigging person was there.
All the anger and hate directed at Pence is a waste of energy.
People on FR complain all the time about how Democrats run roughshod over the Constitution yet fuss and fume because Pence refused to do the same. Art. 2 Clause 1 Sec. 3:
“The President of the Senate shall, in the Presence of the Senate and House of Representatives, open all the Certificates, and the Votes shall then be counted. The Person having the greatest Number of Votes shall be the President”
Where in the Constitution is the president of the Senate given the leeway to determine whether the certificats are valid or not? Choose one: live by the constitution or make it up as you go like the Democrats do.
The problem with hating on Pence is that it does nothing to correct the problem, which is the manner in which the certificates were prepared, i.e. the cheating that happened at the state level. The constitution delegates nearly total authority over elections to the states so we have 50 different sets of election laws and 50 opportunities for following the intent of the founders in putting this power in their hands. or in cheating to accomplish political ends.
Not one damned thing is done to remedy the real problem by blaming and hating Pence. Not much is being done, period, so now Pence is gone and anyone who thinks we’re not going to see a replay of this same movie over and over again hasn’t been paying attention.
Just another of your inflammatory threads....
The book is part of Pences compensation package. Nobody reads this crap.

True: but Pence could have contained Trump supporters’ disappointment by aggressively supporting Trump on vote fraud and January 6. By picking needless and unsupported fights with Trump, Pence has been his own worst enemy.
He did his job...no need to go further...
