The rising crime rate in Los Angeles is a hot-button issue in this year’s race for Los Angeles mayor. And the issue just hit closer to home for one candidate.
Democratic Congresswoman Karen Bass said Saturday that her home was burglarized.
“Last night, I came home and discovered that my house had been broken into and burglarized,” the Bass campaign said in a statement. “LAPD was called, and I appreciate their assistance. At this time, it appears that only two firearms, despite being safely and securely stored, were stolen. Cash, electronics and other valuables were not. It’s unnerving and, unfortunately, it’s something that far too many Angelenos have faced.”
The Los Angeles Police Dept. has not yet issued a statement on the matter.

Someone she knows swiped them. It might be a ‘targeted’ operation.
Did she have insurance on those items?
“...At this time, it appears that only two firearms, despite being safely and securely stored, were stolen. Cash, electronics and other valuables were not. It’s unnerving and, unfortunately, it’s something that far too many Angelenos have faced.”
Uhmmmm....you violated the law by not having your metals, covered with wood, unsecured....
Sure, lady, sure, we believe yuh!
Regards,
I can protect myself but you cant
Interesting. Husband? Boyfriend? Child? Insurance fraud?
Who else would take only two "safely and securely stored" guns, but not cash?
So the “safely and securely stored firearms” were stolen, but not the cash?
Yes, I see that too: Odd that the easiest to steal items were left alone, the safe broken broken open, and ONLY the “locked up guns” were specifically taken.
Hmm, My guns are stored in a safe and secure location, and you would need a heavy duty forklift to remove them from my property. Did they bring a forklift to the robbery or is the LAPD and the scumbag LYING to the people??
The cash must have been stored more securely than the firearms.
So they were securely stored in a sock drawer.
This story doesn’t pass the smell test
Inside job? What do the security cameras show?
Their hypocrisy knows no bounds.
Here’s what I’d love to do.
1. Find out who lives in the home.
2. Whose name are the guns under
3. Get two of the same guns.
4. Take whoever owns the guns to the range and have them demonstrate their proficiency with said guns.
Their hypocrisy knows no bounds.
Ha Ha!
I wonder if she has a son who is late teens to mid 20’s who knew where the keys to the safe were.
It’s California, the state will know what she has no matter what.
During the Covid clampdown in NM I watched a ton of YouTube videos by The Lockpicking Lawyer. He could get into most gun “security” boxes in seconds. Defeated fingerprint locks with cardboard, forks, etc…. Started picking myself.
Note: Never show your wife that you can open your front door lock in 10 seconds three different ways.
Yeah, I read that. Complete and total Bull SHIITE!.....................
