King Charles III was officially proclaimed Britain’s monarch Saturday in a pomp-filled ceremony steeped in ancient tradition and political symbolism — and, for the first time, broadcast live online and on air.
Scores of senior British politicians past and present, including new Prime Minister Liz Truss and five of her predecessors, gathered in the ornate state apartments at St. James’s Palace for the meeting of the Accession Council. They met without Charles, officially confirming his title, King Charles III. The king then joined them, vowing to follow his mother’s “inspiring example” as he took on the duties of monarch. The new king formally approved a series of orders — including one declaring the day of his mother’s funeral a public holiday. The date of the state funeral has not been announced, but it is expected to be around Sept. 19.
This is the first time the accession ceremony has been held since 1952, when Queen Elizabeth II took the throne.

It was his GRANDMOTHER, not his mother.
Yep, just as the Catholic Church suffered a demographic death under the rule of “Saint” John Paul.
God save Great Britain
From the Imbecile King!
So that it doesn’t become
you know, the “thing!”
Looks like Prince Iwhorearound Dumbo ears Ladderclimber is now King Iwhorearound Dumbo ears Ladderclimber.
It appears that Dumbo had the ears tucked. But he’s still a whoredog.
RIP Diana.
Thank goodness there are 5 buffers between the Markles ascending the throne.
LOO !!!
Well I personally never had much respect for Prince Charles - such arrogance in his younger years and such silly-ness as he got older. But yes he’s a leftist and fully into the Global Government ideology and agenda.
I believe William is to some extent as well just not as scatter brained as his father.
All this pomp and public ceremony and the body is not even cold yet. Should’ve been after the funeral. I still find it absurd that a family is able to carry on after amassing huge wealth ($28 billion) on the backs of the public.
Charles announced he'd do the same. Hopefully, his idea of service is tending his garden and William can take over the more important duties. It does seem as if William has been doing just that.
Yes, RIP Diana. Sad story.......
How about the great mass of wealth accumulated on our back by the politicians, Deep State and Military Industrial Complex that runs into Trillions????????
“..’oo ahh you, then?..”
“Why, I am your King!”
“..we’ll, I didn’t vote for you…”
I wonder if MeGain will ever visit her ailing father, or even attend his funeral when the time comes. Yet there she is, grabbing every opportunity to associate with the “racist” in-laws who supposedly drove her to suicidal thoughts. If I were a Brit in the crowd, I would turn my back on her and Halfwit.
I hope the family at least banned the Netflix camera crew following the Harkles.
Same problem. Multiple things can be true at once.
I was waiting for the ink to spill over it all. Geez, Chuckles, use a Bic pen like everyone else.
Didn’t know William was left handed. To think no one in his formative years bothered to tell him to merely turn the paper from left to right so he doesn’t have to write upside down. Such a simple action to save a lifetime of people noticing which hand he writes with.
This is the order in which they do things, and have done for centuries.
The Demise of the Crown occurs at the moment of the Sovereign’s death; that is, the Heir becomes the Sovereign at that moment.
The Proclamation, seen today occurs as soon as practical; is done from St. James’ Palace*, earliest extant official residence (and actual residence, prior to the acquisition of Buckingham Palace) first, and then at other locations in the city and the nation, and harks back to a time when such Proclamation was the first many of the people had heard of the change of Sovereign.
This is the first time that the ceremonial inside St. James’ Palace was recorded; IIRC, the outdoor Proclamation (a public event with an audience limited by the space) in February 1952 was filmed and then shown publicly.
*Of possible interest, King Charles I, whose residence was Whitehall Palace, was removed to St. James’ Palace while the scaffold for his execution was being build as a temporary addition attached to Whitehall. Google Maps tells me that it takes 13 to 15 minutes to walk from St. James’ to Whitehall, which Charles I did in the early afternoon of January 30, 1649. Whitehall Palace was mostly destroyed by fire in 1698.
Hope both of them were scanned for bugs.
Don’t lose your head, King Chuckles III...
