A federal judge in Florida has granted Donald Trump's request to have a special master review the documents seized during the raid on Mar-a-Lago – granting a key demand of the former president and tapping the breaks on the government's investigation.
Judge Aileen Cannon approved Trump's motion to appoint a special master 'to review the seized property for personal items and documents and potentially privileged material subject to claims of attorney client and/or executive privilege.'
The Trump-appointed judge also 'temporarily enjoins' the government from 'reviewing and using the seized materials' pending the completion of the review.
That grants Trump and his legal team a side benefit of stalling the fast-moving proceedings that have unfolded since the August 8 FBI search of Mar-a-Lago.

Once you a a defendant, you can start filing motions pursuant to Fed Rule of Criminal Procedure 12(b)(3)(A,B,and C). For example Rule 12(b)(3)(A)(iv) provides for a motion regarding selective or vindictive prosecution.
12(b)(3)(C) provides for the motion to suppress evidence.
I’m not comparing Trump to David. I’m showing what pleased God and why he chose David. God does not change... it’s very possible Trump was chosen because he was willing to work for good, in spite of all his faults.. which the left points out all the time. You’ll have to overlook what you think is overdone... Heaven, God, and the United States.. all worked together to form our great union... and I am seeing it being destroyed. But for Trump, they would perhaps succeed.
Well, there's a theory (which is a little conspiratorial, but heck, that's almost required anymore) that the DOJ was looking for materials in Trump's possession that would incriminate elements at the DOJ, FBI and possibly other agencies. And he's taking all of this with a light heart because he knows they didn't get those documents, because he has them someplace else.
That's a fun theory, but I think that it's more likely that he's got a clear concience because he knows he hasn't done anything wrong. He's had the jackals after him for so long, that if there was anything there, they would have come up with it long ago.
But that doesn't stop the left-wing Twitterati from howling about this ruling. They're beside themselves. Actually some good names to remember, for the rogue's gallery of deep-state lawyers. Neal Katyal, Bradley Moss, Asha Rangappa, Harry Litman, Ryan Goodman, and of course Kurt Eichenwald. I really can't figure out why they are all so agitated about this, but if they are upset, it's probably a good thing for everyone else.
The way the media is making this all sound, it's "too little, too late" for Team Trump and charges are forthcoming.
I didn't believe that to be true, I just didn't know specifically that appointing a special master would mean the whole thing is effectively DOA in time for the mid-terms.

Seeing him Sat.. he looked good and the crowd was ready to welcome him after biden’s hit on us. Trump comes out.. sees the filled place.. says he will not leave us.. loves the country..yes, I think he has Help dealing with all of the hate and attacks. Who else would stay the course?.. he doesn’t need it for himself.. he wants the country to be saved for the next generation, and the next.
