A Rasmussen Reports poll released Friday showed that a Republican candidate maintains the five-point lead over a Democrat on the generic congressional ballot for the third week.
As Republicans look to retake control of Congress in the 2022 midterm elections — only 64 days away — the most recent Rasmussen Reports survey showed that the GOP held their five-point lead on the generic congressional ballot for the third week in a row.

So, Schicklgroper’s speech didn’t help, eh?
i am voting for Der Joe.
that’s what i am telling the gestapo.

twice even
There is little doubt in my mind that the GOP, while not “blowing” this fall, is clearly failing thus far to press its’ advantage.
The generic ballot was as high as 11 points in their favor not that long ago.. now its down to 1/2 that.
Will they lose? No, I don’t see any blue wave building that’s just nonsense, but their apathy and failure to actually press the advantage could see this be a very mild election.. which given the nature of everything is insanity.
9.5 weeks to go
Sorry but doubt the validity of all polls. What decent, rational person these days takes an unsolicited call from a complete stranger and then discusses their personal political beliefs and preferences? Doubt these polls are statistically reliable.
I sense GOP gains will be barely enough to take the House. It wouldn’t be a shock if the Dems narrowly keep control. Part of the problem is the Dems have a huge spending edge as usual.
I sense that talking a lot about much the student loan forgiveness will cost is not intelligent. They’ve sold it as something to help struggling students. That kind of issue has not historically worked in the GOP’s favor. I don’t know why it would work now.
The Republicans need to talk more about the border, the Biden admin forcing schools to let transgender females compete on girls teams, Biden’s war on drilling, and the politicized DOJ.
On abortion they should emphasize that the Dems want no restrictions at all on abortion, including gruesome late term abortions, and describe the procedure. They shouldn’t try to avoid the issue, but I think many will.
They should flat out call the Democrats liars on their claim that the 87K new IRS agents are only for people making over 400K. They blocked a Republican amendment that would have ensured that.
They should call Biden a dictator. They can point out his bizarre speech, and how he didn’t have the legal right to forgive the student loans.
Most of the Repubs won’t do all that.
And a rational person would like to avoid a midnight no-knock audit by shotgun toting IRS goons.
will see in the next poll.
Down a little. Marginal improvement for Dhimmicraps. Probably moves about 2 House seats.
I’ve been following the Rasmussen generic poll for decades. If the Reps and Dems are even in this poll on election day, Republicans do pretty good - not great but pretty good.
Earlier in the summer this poll was +10 for the Reps. I never saw it that high. Then Senate Reps helped the Dems pass the stupid and unnecessary “chips” bill, and the the Rasmussen lead was cut in half. Hopefully the Senate Reps won’t do anything stupid, and the Rasmussen poll remains stable between now and election day. If that happens we will have a great day.
I believe Democrat’s internal polling shows that the Democrats are in trouble. Biden’s speech last night was an attempt to tamp down the wave. Of course Joe screwed the whole thing up.
Remember Rasmussen is not Rasmussen anymore. They have lowered themselves to the same level as the rest of the fake polls so you have ask what the REAL number is?
Trafalgar is showing the same and they’re still one of the best.
But, but, but da Democrats are leading the generic ballot in other polls.
if the dems can steal the election— a blue wave is coming.
which is just a different way of saying almost half the country are nuts in the head.
I’d say slow Joe’s speech last night indicates the desperation of the Democrats for the midterms.
Their internal polls must be scary.
the handful of polls not showing us in the lead haven’t switched to likely voters yet.
