A Rasmussen survey of 1,000 adults shows only 28 percent believe electric vehicles are “practical for most drivers.” Meanwhile, a clear majority of 54 percent say they are not. Eighteen percent are unsure.
When asked to look a decade into the future, which will be just a few years before California outlaws gas-powered vehicles, a whopping 69 percent say it is “very” (37 percent) or “somewhat” (32 percent) likely that most cars will run primarily on gasoline. Only 23 percent disagree.

WHICH runs of gas or diesel & has LOTS of HYDRAULIC fluid pulling those vehicles out of danger.
“All EVs are great until you compare them to ICE vehicles then they really are stupid ( and expensive ).”

Put their skin in the game from what Obama says. Pray they last at least 48 hrs on this temporal realm from the crapstorm they placed upon the people.
“FOR a much shorter time frame.
Some of those recoveries take 7-11 hours.”
But they are pulling at max power for that time. Much of the time is for rigging. And no power is used when they are holding to inspect progess.
And it is a TV show!
Where did I say FReepers?
I’m referring to people in religious awe of all this “green” stuff, specifically these EVs as part of it.
And really, it is NOT talked about that people can’t just plug in their car at the house - it needs to be re-vamped and sometimes the utility doesn’t have the ability.
You WON’T see that discussed on media shows or anything. Just found out about it myself a few months ago.
#26 See a electric Canadian Fire Truck with a diesel extender.
It also has 40% less water then a regular fire truck.

And did you hear about CA telling people not to charge their electric cars because of power deficiency?
Husband literally just reading it now. Just like when there are droughts and they tell us not to use water for yards or washing cars etc.
“And really, it is NOT talked about that people can’t just plug in their car at the house - it needs to be re-vamped and sometimes the utility doesn’t have the ability.”
1. You can just plug your EV in at home. No mods required.
2. A level 1 can be plugged into the 110 outlet.
3. A level 2 can be plugged into a 22o like the clothes dryer.
4. A higher capacity level 2 can be hard-wired to the distribution panel. Just your everyday job for an electrician.
No utility interface required. No mods to the house.
Dang! You must be right. I forgot about the steep hill.
I would trade in my 2016 gas guzzler for an EV, but here in California I will never get it back. And after 2035 when they stop selling ICE cars, this heap will be a valuable antique.
Not whatI read. Or at least your non-mods mean long time charging.
That is a huge problem. How long it takes to get it rolling.
“Not whatI read.”
Please cite where I am wrong and link what you read that is contrary
It’s been a long time. Not always easy to dig up.
And again, just how long do you take to charge?
I can gas up in 5 minutes. Beat that. You cannot.
“It’s been a long time. Not always easy to dig up.”
LOL! All over the internet but it is not easy to dig up.
“And again, just how long do you take to charge?”
It is all over the internet. Things like KW, KW/mile, etc.
“I can gas up in 5 minutes. Beat that. You cannot.”
An EV can fill up while the owner is sleeping! Beat that!
“And again, just how long do you take to charge?”
Assuming an average of 12.5k miles per year a level 2 charger could keep you topped off in 30 minutes a day.
“And again, just how long do you take to charge?”
-———If you use the existing 110 outlet————————
Assuming an average of 12.5k miles per year a level 1 charger could keep you topped off in about five hours a day while you sleep.
And where is YOUR source?
Yes, we all have time to do searches on things that are not our jobs just to put someone in their place.
BTW, here was a wake-up call for me:
