Paul Pelosi, 82, pleaded guilty to one charge of DUI and has been sentenced to three years of probation and five days in jail, with credit for time served, according to the records. He will also need to do eight hours of a court work program, participate in a drinking-and-driving course that will last for three months, use an ignition interlock device for a year, and pay $150, according to TMZ.
On May 28, Pelosi crashed his Porsche into a Jeep near Yountville, California. According to authorities, he failed his sobriety test and was not steady while being taken into custody. Afterward, it was discovered that his blood alcohol content level was 0.082%.

Is anyone shocked by this sentence?

“Is anyone shocked by this sentence?”
I’m shocked that a member of the Democrat elite isn’t getting away with it completely.
I suspect that most of this is window dressing and the reality is that he’s not going to face any actual penalties when the paperwork gets done.

Honestly, $10K will get you a good lawyer and mostly cleared of a DUI without bodily injury in most states. You may have months or years of community service or have your license stripped down to hardship, but you won’t spend much time in jail.
I’m actually surprised he pled guilty. I honestly suspected they’d plead nolo or not guilty and get some greasy handshake from a higher up in the PD.

Nancy must have done some polling and saw that letting him off entirely might cost a seat or two in the House. And she doesn’t have to share her gourmet ice cream for a few nights.

I don’t know if he has any priors but that sentence is harsher than a first time OWI brings in my county.

got away with the concealed child for 5 days + probation.

He’s pretty much getting away with it. If I was pulled over for drunk driving in California I would fully expect to lose my license to drive. On the first offense.

The only thing that kept this from getting swept under the rug was the fact that another vehicle was involved. The police might be crooked and compliant, but once another insurance company is involved, all bets are off.

This penalty is about average which is surprising to me. The Democrat power brokers must be feeling the ground moving under their feet and probably told Pelosi that a getting away with it was not in the cards for her husband.

Escort? She will be handeled domestically by Nan See herself. Had to be a pretty small "escort" - a wee little thing - to be concealable in a Porsche. No proof it was a female, either.

Paul Pelosi: "Hi, honey, I'm finally home! I only got probation plus five days in jail, and credit for time served, so here I am! ... What's wrong?"
Nancy: "How dare you! Do you know how embarrassing it was for me, going to Taiwan to antagonize our new Cold War nemesis, China, and you're the only spouse who didn't accompany the members of our travel party?"
Paul: "Um, yeah, well, ... my bad."
Nancy: "Your bad? YOUR BAD?!? I'm really angry with you. If you think your court sentence was tough, just wait until you hear the sentence I'm going to give you!"
Paul: "What's that?"
Nancy: "One month locked in a room with the Laughing Hyena and her endless Word Salad speeches! Now THAT will teach you a lesson you'll never forget!"
Paul: "No, not the Laughing Hyena, no! ... NO! ... NOOOOO!!! ........................ AHHH!"
Kamala: "Hi Paul! Did I shock you? Now what we're going to do together, as we're together, will be what we have always done together, continue to do, and will do in the future together, as we have done things together in the past, always looking to the future, with the renewed hope of doing things in that future, while always keeping an eye to the past and what we have done in the past together, and as we will do in the future together, because by joining together, as we have always joined together in the past, we shall ...."
Paul: "NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! ...... NOOOOOOOO!!!!! ....."

He will also need to do eight hours of a court work program, participate in a drinking-and-driving course that will last for three months... With all of Paul Pelosi's experience at drinking & driving I'm sure he'll ace that course.
