President Biden will host a White House summit next month aimed at combating a spate of hate-fueled violence in the U.S., as he works to deliver on his campaign pledge to "heal the soul of the nation."
The White House announced Friday that Mr. Biden will host the United We Stand Summit on Sept. 15, highlighting the "corrosive effects" of violence on public safety and democracy.
Mr. Biden has frequently cited 2017's white supremacist protest in Charlottesville, Virginia, with bringing him out of political retirement to challenge then-President Donald Trump in 2020. He promised during that campaign to work to bridge political and social divides and to promote national unity, but fulfilling that cause remains a work in progress.

Right. The local news stories are 90% about a certain race shooting members of a family of the same race.
If the Dems are honest (fuhhgggeddaboutit) they will allow stories and statistics.
You can bet they will have Biden and other practically in tears over someone’s life cut short by a white in a school shooting or a valedictorian black student shot by a drunken white.
Even if they wanted dialogue and healing like a sappy Oprah show, they would have to allow freedom of speech. They won’t. In a college class or a school board meeting, free speech is greeted with jeers and then threats and doxxing, revenge social media and a life of torment.
So here’s their playbook...
- Purposefully do a bunch of really stupid, insulting, punishing things that enrage any normal person.
- the enraged normal vents it’s rage
- so you declare him a hateful person for getting angry (which is what you were trying to do in the first place)
- and classify him as a domestic terrorist and dealt as such.
I imagine Mitch McConnell will be in attendance and will apologize for the Rs running Trump-supporting candidates this year. As a gesture of unity to the fraudulent president, he will pledge to make up for this oversight by trying to ensure that they lose by cutting off their funds and by talking them down in public.
