The super PAC aligned with Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) is dumping $28 million into Ohio to bolster J.D. Vance (R), who is in an unexpected dogfight with Rep. Tim Ryan (D) for the seat being vacated by Sen. Rob Portman (R).
The Senate Leadership Fund revealed Thursday that it was adding Ohio to its list of targeted states and earmarking millions for television advertising after several weeks of brewing concern in GOP circles about Vance’s lackluster fundraising and polls showing Ryan competitive. Republicans had hoped to avoid spending in Ohio given that President Joe Biden's job approval ratings are languishing and former President Donald Trump twice won the state by roughly 8 percentage points.
With the Senate Leadership Fund’s announcement that it plans to invest $28 million there between now and Nov. 8, the Buckeye State now ranks among the biggest recipients of advertising for Republican Senate candidates by the McConnell super PAC.

But in any event, so much for the people claiming McConnell wanted to lose this race on a recent thread.
These candidates need funding. Free advice if anyone with the Trump campaign sees this: send out an e-mail / text blast with the link to the candidates' fundraising page asking them to chip in a few bucks. 1 million people donating just 10 bucks to each candidate more than solves this problem. The elites will continue to run the show if people sit on their hands and keep their wallets closed. It takes a lot of money, but not a lot of money per person, to more than match the elites and the donor class. And there are certainly more than 1 million Trump supporters on his e-mail / text list, I'm sure.
David Drucker is a Hugh Hewitt type a—hole. Nobody who knew anything ever thought a tight race with Ryan was “unexpected.” I’ve been saying it right here since Spring, Watch out for Ryan, and I assume everybody else in Ohio who knows the terrain has been saying so too.
Beginning to hate these ignorant nobodies who act like experts but just cloud the issues. Btw, latest polls have JD pulling ahead.
$28 million to get a job that pays ???????? what?
Oh my goodness Tucker is talking about the red wave is not guaranteed. My heart has just sunk he’s just telling us about poll numbers. Why in the hell are Americans voting these clowns in who are destroying our cities? This along with what’s going on with Trump my blood pressure just about went through the roof I need to turn everything off and go outside and breathe. Tucker does not give you BS he’s a straight shooter. So I believe him😢
As we in Ohio expected, he will become a willing sycophant for Mitch and the Silicon Valley establishment. *sigh* And I’ll have to once again hold my nose and vote for him, just as I did for Bush, et.al.
true. The Democrats are always going to contest Ohio - especially an open seat. Anyone who thought otherwise is nuts.
Please the house will be plus 35 seats
Biden impeachment hearings will commence thereafter
Another example of why candidates having their own funding is crucial. Otherwise they will be at the mercy of the elites and the donor class - you dance with those that brought you.
yes, the House is solid but I have concerns about the Senate in PA, OH, AZ, GA and even FL. I think these polls are to demoralize, don’t trust them.
Repub voters are blue collar types and retirees who can’t afford to donate. Dems are executives.
I wouldn’t trust fox news polls though.
I think $175,000
That’s nothing compared to POTUS.
this negates some of what I thought about Mitch - why is he doing this?
There are almost certainly 1 million conservatives who could contribute a mere $10 per candidate. Actually a lot more than that. Leftist organizations have that kind of organization and text / e-mail blasts getting small donors like that allowing Left wing candidates to rake in millions in short order.
Just like a waiter or bartender, it's not the pay but the tips where the money really is in legislating.
Democrats leading here and there. What’s WRONG with these people?
Actually, it used to be my tagline: Socialism will always be popular with people who think they can get something for nothing.
It is totally amazing the differences in headlines when speaking of a democrat’s campaign vs a republican’s one. You can feel the vitriol and disdain for conservatives (or even the GOPe member they just praised yesterday) in every word as they try to present a certain narrative. (Mainly “orangemanbad”) DeSantis’ press secretary has been pounding on them lately for their slanted coverage of events.

Don’t count your chicks yet. McConnell can’t be trusted in MHO.
Delete that statement, please. I agree with you.
