McConnell's super PAC mounts rescue mission for JD Vance in Ohio Senate race
Washington Examiner ^ | 8/18/2022 | David M. Drucker

The super PAC aligned with Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) is dumping $28 million into Ohio to bolster J.D. Vance (R), who is in an unexpected dogfight with Rep. Tim Ryan (D) for the seat being vacated by Sen. Rob Portman (R).

The Senate Leadership Fund revealed Thursday that it was adding Ohio to its list of targeted states and earmarking millions for television advertising after several weeks of brewing concern in GOP circles about Vance’s lackluster fundraising and polls showing Ryan competitive. Republicans had hoped to avoid spending in Ohio given that President Joe Biden's job approval ratings are languishing and former President Donald Trump twice won the state by roughly 8 percentage points.

With the Senate Leadership Fund’s announcement that it plans to invest $28 million there between now and Nov. 8, the Buckeye State now ranks among the biggest recipients of advertising for Republican Senate candidates by the McConnell super PAC.

“Oh my goodness Tucker is talking about the red wave is not guaranteed. “

Ignore the poll numbers. They are meaningless. It’s all meant to suppress the conservative vote. If you look at history, the polls have always (as in every dang time) under-counted the GOP support.

At the minimum, take away 3 points from the democrats and add it to the GOP candidate. While Biden hides, they are trying to pretend he had a fantastic week in policy accomplishments and now he is off to take a rest after such exertion.

Ignore them. Bring up the disastrous economy to others whenever you get a chance and explain why it is the democrats’ fault (gas pumps and the grocery store are good places to do such). Make sure all your family members and friends are registered to vote and realize who is at fault that we have open borders, high crime, record inflation, etc.

Contact your local GOP and volunteer to work as a poll-watcher on election day.

That had to be one of Tucker’s best opening segments.

yes, the House is solid but I have concerns about the Senate in PA, OH, AZ, GA and even FL. I think these polls are to demoralize, don’t trust them.

Rubio will get re-elected. Don't worry. The one poll that had Demings winning was an outlier. He's trouncing her in every other poll. DeSantis is going to waltz to an easy re-election and Rubio will ride his coattails to victory.

The other four states, I'd worry. Shockingly enough, the one guy who has the best chance of winning in all of these states is Walker. He's polling competitively against Warnock in Georgia (but still behind).

This is what happens when we nominate lousy candidates for statewide elections. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

Hell yeah! If this doesn’t wake up our base WE ARE SCREWED if the rats win...they will make us suffer to the core. Incidentally that’s the game plan. How in the hell did it flip everything was going rotten for these bastard rats then all of a sudden everything flipped something is out of whack. Or this is not America anymore well I guess it’s not anymore!

Fox News (AKA Australian owners) hates Trump and therefore all things Trump, including his supporters.

The Fox network is going to go all out again to destroy him/you.

Have you seen the (not so) surprising comments Laura's made recently? Where do you think that's coming from?

Tucker does not give you BS he’s a straight shooter. So I believe him😢
It's the classic con job.
You're in for a very sad and rude awakening.

Tucker is beholden to Fox for his career and Fox alone. Tucker and Fox couldn't care less about you on their way to destroying all things Trump.

You're being, not only fooled, also being betrayed once again by Fox and everyone working there.

"This is what happens when we nominate lousy candidates for statewide elections. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes."

But, but Trump endorsed these lousy candidates! Sarcasm or telling statement that Trump is a sucker for celebrity in the case of Mehmet, Vance, and Walker.

He should be. Mitch McConnell has made sure that the GOP has helped Biden get literally everything he wanted, all of it, while at the same time demanding that GOP candidates not criticize Biden in their campaigns. They stand for nothing. Why should people support them?

Walker comes off dumb as a stump (I don’t think he is dumb) His ads suck. There are all these crappy football analogies and nothing about taxes, inflation, border security, free speech, gun control, and all of the issues that people* are really unhappy about

*except for the Democrat base who apparently live in another universe where the laws of physics, economics, and logic don’t exist but wishing for something completely impossible or passing a law that contradicts reason makes it come true.

McConnel doesn’t want to be seen as giving up. So he’ll give too little too late in order to make it look like he “tried” when all the time he was rooting for the Dem.

Mitch McConnell has made sure that the GOP has helped Biden get literally everything he wanted, all of it

Really? By having unanimous opposition to virtually all of it?
