Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell expressed concern Thursday about Republicans’ ability to take back the Senate during the upcoming November midterms, as polls show GOP candidates trailing Democrats in key races.
“I think there’s probably a greater likelihood the House flips than the Senate. Senate races are just different, they’re statewide, candidate quality has a lot to do with the outcome,” McConnell told reporters, according to Frank Thorp V of NBC News.

Mitch will spin this as candidate quality but Trump voters like myself won’t give to RSCC for Mitch to pick who gets supported or not based on if they are a Trump pick. We should give to candidates we like directly.

We are seeing the Dems’ dead cat bounce. Come November the Rep Senate majority will be 52-48 and substantially more pro-Trump.
Murkowski’s best shot at 50% was the primary and she’s come up short — just for example.
If he keeps the Senate in Democrat hands, it will stall the agenda of the House, which will surely flip. Think of McConnell as a Democrat and things will be clearer.

The posers like Mitch are fearful their days in the sun are going to end. Trump won in 2016 and the nation was calling for Mitch and Ryan to stand and be counted, and they rolled over along with all the other pretend Republicans. Time to clean house. The Republican party needs fighters for America, and Mitch and his gang ain’t them.

Mitch didn’t think Viewers would believe him when he said Biden deserves credit.
The Senate - sans Johnson, Rand Paul, and occasionally Grassley - just sat out the last two years as far as promoting the Party and opposing Biden Cash Billions.

I agree with him at this time. Because of weak candidates in key races, the Senate will be much harder to take.
Mitch is going to sabotage the races to keep his minority leadership position.
