I've gotten many a very pleasant high from whipped cream cans...but not from the gas!

I had a friend in high school who took a job at the Howard Johnson, and used the empty cans for that purpose. I wonder if you have to be 21 to work at the ice cream parlour in NY state now?
His mother caught him doing something similar (and worse) with Dust-Off (Freon). She yelled “Why can’t you use pot like the rest of the kids?!”

Oh wow, tough on crime! You can decide to Kill your child if you’re underage and they’ll help you do it, behind everyone’s backs. You can decide if you’re mentally ill enough to mutilate your reproductive organs if you’re underage and they’ll help you do it behind everyone’s backs. But, getting high on a legal product, you need an adult to buy it.

The law went into effect because too many kids were getting high off the nitrous gas used a propellant aka whippets. I guess NYS has not gotten rid of the old law. Most of the north eastern states had the law too.
If I remember most of the normal cans of whip cream don’t use nitrous any more but professional cooking systems where the chef makes the cream and loads the stainless bottle and charges the container with the gas still does.
A head shop I knew of sold the nitrous cartridge in a 20 pack as they are a for pastry making. Laughed when I saw it but never used.
