It Wasn't Us! White House Panics as Mar-a-Lago Backfires - Throws Garland, DOJ, FBI Completely Under the Bus
Western Journal ^ | August 9, 2022 | Grant Atkinson

“No, the president was not briefed, was not aware of it. No. No one at the White House was given a heads up, no. That did not happen.”

When another reporter asked her whether she was concerned about the optics of the Justice Department raiding the home of a former president, Jean-Pierre said nothing.

After the reporter pressed her about Republicans saying the raid “reeks of politics,” Jean-Pierre again suggested Biden had no advanced knowledge.

“Look, I’ll say this: the president and the White House learned about this FBI search from public reports,” she said. “We learned just like the American public did yesterday, and we did not have advanced notice of this activity.

As many Americans continue to express their concerns about government overreach, the White House’s strategy in dealing with this public relations nightmare is simple: deny, deny, deny.

I'm not sure that I believe the media push that Biden has any sort of momentum, though that's their hope. His Legislative "victory" is a big corporate tax increase that will be passed to consumers, does not lower inflation, and doubles the size of the IRS tax collectors. Gas prices have dropped, yet are still a dollar higher than when Trump was in office.

Yes, the establishment is desperate for anything they can grab to slow down the coming red wave, but I'm a little more suspicious.

As for the raid, it's tough to say who's behind it. The Democrats, the GOPe, and the Deep State are all obsessed with stopping Trump because he is the one who can expose them for the enemies of the people.

You ignore the facts to spout the cant. Trump as president was in charge of the classification status. He declassified by his sole decision. The documents in question were once classified but declassified by President Trump.

The Praetorian Guard got Caligula in a closed passageway and mysteriously, Caligula had somehow died before they marched out. Biden may face the same kind of mysterious demise. And maybe even “Que mala” Harris, before the dust settles.

Unlike a lot here, I can believe that Biden wasn’t told. Its not like he’s really in charge or anything.

I can even believe Democrat party leadership was not told. They would have known this would look terrible for them and nobody would believe them when they professed their innocence.

This strikes me much more as deep state actors either terrified of documents Trump has which are embarrassing to them OR Merrick Garland pursuing a vendetta. Those behind it obviously weren’t thinking of the negative political consequences for the Democrat party.

I wish we wouldn’t play along with the fraud that “Biden is in charge”.

Every time someone posts “Biden this, Biden that”, they are playing along with the concealment of who is running the Executive Branch and who is making all the decisions.

Pro tip: It’s not Joe Biden.

Their cover on the right side of the aisle is being stripped away as RINO after RINO goes down in various primaries. Yes, it will take more than just this one election but those in control at RINO HQ have got to be worried right about now. They’ve poured tons of cash into various races, they’ve had all the party bigwigs lavish praise on their vulnerable RINOs and nothing is working. Its just one big fat “L” after another for them.

Classification status is not the issue.

Records of the president are public records, and according to the Presidential Records Act, they are to be turned over to the Archivist upon leaving office.

For example, if the president receives an itinerary for travel to Bedminster, and if he makes a note or marginalia on it, it becomes an original presidential document subject to permanent retention and must be turned over to the Archivist.

The rules are pretty similar to those that managers in corporations subject to discovery and court ordered document retention must follow.

This president is not keenly aware of anything.

Biden gives a whole new meaning to "plausible deniability."

My first thought is that he would have done less damage as a SC Justice. But then I remembered that SC Justices are for life - a fascist AG will be fired on or before the duration of the current rogue regime.

“Who has the nuclear war launch codes?”

Can you imagine—the US launches a first strike nuclear attack and the WH announces “we didn’t know”.

I know a lot of “experts” around here claim they understand command and control—but these days the rules of command and control may be “paper rules” that would not be followed in practice.

Every record had already been declassified. They know that, but what they’re really looking for are the documents relating to the Continuity of Government plan (COG) that it is suspected Trump issued before leaving office.

Oh, and welcome to Free Republic.

Merrick Garland as AG was the first sign of where we were going. Nobody thought the guy might just have an ax to grind? If I was the puppet master looking for an important figurehead to help me destroy the Country, I’d skip over the thousands of qualified candidates and go for the guy who probably had it out for Republicans. The icing on the cake would be that so-called Republicans would help me put him in that position.

See post 109 above. Classification doesn’t matter.

If Trump issued a COG plan, there would be lots of copies around. If Trump has the only copy, it is not really “issued”.
