Agreed, but the title implies that they quit because she is black which is BS.

Obviously Yahoo has slanted the story to make it appear they quit because she is black. Facts are hard to come by when the media is trying to manipulate readers, but from some other sites it’s been posted that the woman is an unholy terror and they’d had enough. It wasn’t just the police that resigned, a couple of other city workers quit too. When that many people quit to avoid one toxic person you need to step back and say maybe that person is the problem, not those who quit. It appears the town council didn’t do it’s due diligence when hiring this woman and should probably be voted out next election. The more immediate action should be to fire her and try to undo the damage she’s done to their community.

There are an abundance of towns and cities in eastern North Carolina with black mayors and/or city/county managers. The mayor of one of the larger cities has a mayor who is the former president of the local NAACP.
It takes about 5 people to have 24 hour coverage 365 days a year.
So 5 is about right to keep 1 officer on duty all the time.
