Crayola has joined the woke brigade with a vengeance: The activist left cannot leave anything alone, especially when it involves sex or sexuality
American Thinker ^ | 07/24/2022 | Andrea Widburg

Here’s my rule: Any person, place, or thing that has sex as its central focus is something that is not healthy, whether for itself or for others. American corporations would do well to remember that—but of course, now that their entire management staff is filled with people who have graduated from college in the last 20 years years, they are incapable of keeping sex and sexuality out of their sights. The latest to fall is Crayola, which for no reason whatever decided that the way to celebrate crayons—a product associated with children—was to rhapsodize about a bearded lady who likes color.

We learned about Ms. Julian Gavino through Crayola’s Facebook page.

There’s nothing in the post about actual Crayola products. It’s all a celebration of an unhealthy-looking, mentally ill (with gender dysphoria), bearded lady in a wheelchair:

Gavino’s progressive neurological illness sounds very sad. But that doesn’t make her an appropriate celebratory figure for crayons, markers, or anything else Crayola sells.

I don’t know about you but, up until today, when I thought about Crayola, I thought about the 64 different crayons in the classic yellow and green Crayola box that’s been a backdrop to every American’s childhood since the early 1900s. (The 64-color box didn’t actually hit the market until 1958, at the height of the Baby Boom, but kids were using Crayolas beginning in 1903.)

Crayola crayons were not about sex or sexuality or gender identity or gender dysphoria or anything else. They were about different colors with which to draw and they were marketed relentlessly to America’s children. People tried to politicize Crayola by pointing out that the “flesh” colored crayon didn’t match the skin color of Blacks, Asians, or Hispanics

I want this one renamed "Irish chick on a beach"

That's the before. For the after, fire-engine red.

Why is American Thinker playing along by calling that confused dude a “she”?

But the Red for their blood would be the same for all, right? So they were OK (then)?

Note that Red changed. Probably due to some ‘red dye’ danger.

That changed to a more waxy translucent red.

My kid’s old Reds (45 years old) are really good red. I still have them, short, blunted, paper torn back.

I did get to tour a Crayola manufacturing plant in Kansas back about 40 years ago. No photos allowed. Through a window I could see into their Color Lab. Chemistry glassware, clean lab tables, prismatic color charts, etc. But no political or social slogans or rainbow flags.

Most colors were poured into automated rotating molds. But not Raw Umber. That was made from remelting and combining damaged crayons (like not with a perfect tip), and pouring them into a static old-school mold by hand.

In the political tone of today, that Raw Umber is the ‘melting pot’ of society. We are headed there now.

Umber = A natural brown earth containing ferric oxide and manganese oxides. God formed Man from the Earth.

Crayola, I weep for you, how far you have fallen.

Why do conservative media capitulate to the false use of pronouns?

There is a wonderful black comedian who ranted against the “color crap” and challenged his audience to go to Lowes and compare themselves to paint chips.

You need to go do it.

I was shocked.

You start out on the pasty side of the chips and find yourself bewildered as you keep creeping into the deeper hues.

I’m actually something akin to “toasted caramel”.

Don't be the last on your block to be stuck with a cisgender child poisoned by uncompromizing genetics. There's a wide selection of toys designed to help them through their transitional period!

And yet…by the end of next week…tons of school supplies will be requested from the government schools. Crayons crayons will be on that list and we will stupidly supply them, just like we stupidly supply our children to government schools for at least twelve years of their very young and foundational life.

I keep waiting for the pendulum to swing back, but I think the pendulum has fallen off.

And I think it is being pulled so far out that when it swings back it will be devastating for these pervs and their enablers.

Well, one wonders how this will affect retail sales of Crayolas coming out just before the new school year purchases of school supplies.

I’m buying some “put options” on the stock.

"And I think it is being pulled so far out that when it swings back it will be devastating for these pervs and their enablers.”

The farther the idealogical pendulum is forced to the left, the greater the likelihood of an equally determined rightward swing to restore balance. The next swing of the pendulum may be very unforgiving.

I think it had already started the rightward swing, increasing force is being continually applied to slow or stop it.
