Representative Adam Kinzinger, an Illinois Republican, said Sunday that in 10 years there won't be any supporters of former President Donald Trump left in the United States.
His comment came during an interview on ABC's This Week after he was asked about Republicans' views on the attack on the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021. The congressman sits on the House select committee that is investigating last year's riot, which has been holding a series of public hearings in recent weeks.
"There's a lot of recent polling showing that the number of Republicans over the last year who view this as a legitimate protest on January 6 and not an insurrection has actually dramatically risen. How do you explain that?" host George Stephanopoulos asked.
"Well I think on the margins yes, it is puncturing through, and I think what's most important is again, what does history say in five or 10 years?" the GOP lawmaker responded.
"I can get about as close as I can to guaranteeing that in about 10 years there's not going to have been a single Trump supporter that exists anywhere in the country. It's like Nixon. There were a lot of people that supported Nixon until he was out of office and then everybody was like 'Oh, nobody supported Nixon.' I figure that that's going to happen," Kinzinger added.

I have been wanting to have a conversation with someone who hates Trump. I want to know their reasons.
I think some are just programmed by what they hear their brain picks up ‘cause it wants to believe the worst. But proof of their hate is not found.. I’d just like to know how they ration where we are since biden and where we were with Trump.
And still think a democrat would be better.. how does that reasoning work?
Now... a woman can look at another beautiful woman and tear her down in a minute.. with nothing but envy and an angry heart. But we are talking about the United States and how we live. What we pay for gas.. groceries... everything in our lives. HOw does one ration Trump was not doing good... as adults, are you all past judging a person by outward looks? Are we judging by what the person does and whether we like it or not?
Biden is corrupt and his his family is corrupt..his son is even worse.. children ... and they don’t talk about it... just after Trump.
You can say it’s a spiritual battle... that I would agree with. It is!! But then what? it does not remove biden from the seat before he declares some kind of war and we ar left with nothing. The idiots running the show is getting old and hurting us all!
I just want to know how a liberal rations his thinking!!
Ironically enough, Kinzinger himself is the lamest of ducks and matters as little as it is possible for a sitting elected official to matter. A self-ostracized member of the minority party who has been gerrymandered out of his seat by the majority party. Even in his role as a tame Republican on the J6 committee, he is upstaged by Cheney.

I have been a Trump supporter starting on the day he announced and will remain a Trump for the foreseeable future.
