Russian energy company Rosneft announced the discovery of a massive oil resource in the Pechora Sea with an estimated 82 million tons of oil.

A drilling campaign in the Medynsko-Varandeysky area led to the discovery of the field. “During the tests, a free flow of oil was obtained with a maximum flow rate of 220 cubic meters a day,” the company’s statement read on Wednesday, noting that the “oil is light, low-sulfur, low viscosity.”

“In the meantime the US has discovered a huge pile of manure in DC.”

On a daily basis, I’m sure. Some unfortunate intern has the job of looking for loaded Depends in the Oval Office. Sometimes it’s in the wastebasket, sometimes near the toilet. Sometimes he puts it in the out box for the inter-office mail.

Most often, President Poopy Pants is still wearing it. Either way, it’s easy to find because there’s a stinky trail.

This is the consequence of a stolen election.

Happy 4th!! /S

Very good. Numbers matter in the world of oil.

Oil of typical density is about 7.5 barrels per ton. So this is 615 million barrels. Not spectacular, but not peanuts.

Flow rate quoted doesn’t mean much, but their quote would be 1300 barrels/day. Not spectacular, but far superior to a typical US shale well in the Permian or Bakken.

The critical issue is a US shale well may flow 900 barrels/day on day 1, but by day 365 it will be down 50%. That won’t be so for this Russian find because it is not shale.

This find is bound to upset Greta Thunberg. I suppose that now she’s going to start shouting “How dare you!” in Russian.

The weird thing is, why would Russia want to stop global warming?

All of Russia will benefit from being a couple of degrees warmer.

That is a flow rate of about 1,380 barrels per day, OK but nothing to crow about. Indicates ether tight or short interval tested.

82 million tons is not massive. It is about 300,000 barrels or so. I suspect there is a decimal place off somewhere in the article, at least I hope so.

This, plus $12 Trillion in gold found in Uganda.

Signing on to the BRICS team is looking pretty good right now.

BRICS is an acronym for 5 emerging economies of the world viz. – Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa.

Rosneft is 49% publicly traded. They have no reason to lie about such specific data. The reporter likely dropped a decimal somewhere, but Rosneft didn’t lie.

“You think Putin is in trouble now, just wait. He may get an invite behind the gym.”

Well, if it is Xiden extending the invitation I think I know how this will turn out :-).

Go Brandon — it may just be your last event ever.

Both BRICS and the Belt and Road Initiative are Lyndon LaRouche programs offered to the third world back in the mid 80’s. Once China and Russia went to a market economy, both programs started gaining traction. Indira Ghandi was murdered and Peru’s President Alan Garcia was jailed for trumped up corruption charges by Kissinger & Co. for beginning to employ LaRouche’s infrastructure development theories.
