Former White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson’s Tuesday testimony ought to ring the death knell for former President Donald Trump’s political career. Trump is unfit to be anywhere near power ever again.
Hutchinson’s resume alone should establish her credibility. The 25-year-old had already worked at the highest levels of conservative Republican politics, including in the offices of Sen. Ted Cruz (TX) and House Minority Whip Steve Scalise (LA), before becoming a top aide for former Trump chief of staff Mark Meadows.
In short, Hutchinson was a conservative Trumpist true believer and a tremendously credible one at that. She did not overstate things, did not seem to be seeking attention, and was very precise about how and why she knew what she related and about which testimony was firsthand and which was secondhand but able to be corroborated.
What Hutchinson relayed was disturbing.

Now that's some pretty hard hitting hearsay with some personalized editorial interpretation.
Here's an example: someone who knew someone in the WH dining room spilled and dropped some dishes when cleaning up and said "Trump did this in a fit of rage that he was only given one scoop of ice cream, and because of that they should hang the cook, demonstrating clearly that Trump was unhinged and wrong about Cheney's re-election"
I know some guy who said that Biden once tried to grab the controls of Air Force One while it was in flight. Please media, run that story without bothering to look for any corroboration.
I don't think she's in trouble. She didn't claim that she saw any of the dopey nonsense she testified to. She claimed somebody told her that happened. It was an invented tale with automatic deniability built in, as I'm sure was part of the pre-hearing negotiations.

That’s their plan all again. The ones investigating a so-called attempt to overthrow the government are the VERY ONES THAT ARE ATTEMPTING TO OVERTHROW OUR GOVERNMENT. They did it with the Russia hoax and NO ONE was held accountable. They are doing it again by trying everything they can to disqualify Trump from the next election.

Her performance would have gone over better as a SNL skit.
Having worked in the same circles with thousands of others I can attest that such a position does not guarantee credibility or prove someone holds conservative beliefs. I've known countless squishy lefty people who somehow wound up working for good conservatives. Case in point MSNBC leftist shill Nicole Wallace who has held some very high level jobs with conservative Republicans.
This Cassidy Hutchinson is obviously a liar and no different from many other self-important staffers whose only allegiance is to themselves.
