If gay crud can be spewed at all times in and around schools, prayer occasions surely are even more protected.

The idea that Christians can’t do anything is against the Constitution.

In today's decision in Kennedy v. Bremerton School District, Justice Gorsuch writes, in part, for the 6-3 majority:
Joseph Kennedy lost his job as a high school football coach because he knelt at midfield after games to offer a quiet prayer of thanks. Mr. Kennedy prayed during a period when school employees were free to speak with a friend, call for a reservation at a restaurant, check email, or attend to other personal matters. He offered his prayers quietly while his students were otherwise occupied. Still, the Bremerton School District disciplined him anyway. It did so because it thought anything less could lead a reasonable observer to conclude (mistakenly) that it endorsed Mr. Kennedy’s religious beliefs. That reasoning was misguided. [p. 1]

Respect for religious expressions is indispensable to life in a free and diverse Republic—whether those expressions take place in a sanctuary or on a field, and whether they manifest through the spoken word or a bowed head. Here, a government entity sought to punish an individual for engaging in a brief, quiet, personal religious observance doubly protected by the Free Exercise and Free Speech Clauses of the First Amendment. And the only meaningful justification the government offered for its reprisal rested on a mistaken view that it had a duty to ferret out and suppress religious observances even as it allows comparable secular speech. The Constitution neither mandates nor tolerates that kind of discrimination. Mr. Kennedy is entitled to summary judgment on his First Amendment claims. The judgment of the Court of Appeals is Reversed. [pp. 31-2]

Just feels like our country has tilted a bit back toward the upright position.

Just who was hurt by this coach praying at mid-field after the game? Answer: nobody!!!!

Did anybody mistake his prayers as school promotion of religion? Of course not, except maybe a few dishonest folks who hate religion in general, or Christianity specifically.

Everybody take a deep breath and stop looking to be offended by every innocuous action and gesture . . . especially you Commie Rat activists.

RINO attorney general, Rob McKenna, now a Perkins Coie partner.

Isn't that rich. That proves McKenna is a Democrat plant piece of schiff. He's not even a RINO or assistant Democrat.

and people like her would be fine with muslims being provided a special room with prayer rugs for them to pray.

That’s what Greg Gutfeld jokingly calls her.
Like an opposite nickname.
A bald guy is curly, a fat guy is slim…
She’s very nice and not evil.

So many things had to line up perfectly that you can’t attribute this term of the court to anything other than Divine Providence. Scalia dying during Obama’s term and McConnell taking the unprecedented step of holding the seat open for 9 months. The Kavanaugh debacle. RBG dying right before the election and then the GOP senate reversing course and pushing her through in record time. If any one of those things hadn’t happened, this term wouldn’t have been the same.

Nothing short of God’s grace is the explanation.

My single largest regret is that Rush never got to live long enough to see all of this.

I can only imagine what his show would be like today if he were still with us now.

Gorsuch basically told the District that the issue was so simple even a liberal should be able to figure it out.

And Mitch McConnell. Garland would have been on the court right now instead of Gorsuch if he hadnt held Scalia’s seat open after his death.

As much as I hate to say this, yes. Mitch McConnell was strong in resisting pressure that would have allowed Garland to become a Justice and he was resolute in getting all Trump's nominees through confirmation. I still think McConnell and his wife are corrupt but that is another issue.

I would feel threatened if I was witness to Muslims praying out in the open like that.
