Attorney General Merrick B. Garland Statement on Supreme Court Ruling in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization (vows to defy Court)
DOJ website ^ | 6/24/22 | Attorney General Merrick B. Garland

“And we stand ready to work with other arms of the federal government that seek to use their lawful authorities to protect and preserve access to reproductive care. In particular, the FDA has approved the use of the medication Mifepristone. States may not ban Mifepristone based on disagreement with the FDA’s expert judgment about its safety and efficacy.

“Furthermore, federal agencies may continue to provide reproductive health services to the extent authorized by federal law. And federal employees who carry out their duties by providing such services must be allowed to do so free from the threat of liability. It is the Department’s longstanding position that States generally may not impose criminal or civil liability on federal employees who perform their duties in a manner authorized by federal law. Additionally, the Department’s Office of Legal Counsel has determined that federal employees engaging in such conduct would not violate the Assimilative Crimes Act and could not be prosecuted by the federal government under that law. The Justice Department is prepared to assist agencies in resolving any questions about the scope of their authority to provide reproductive care.

I’m sorry, but you need to wake up. We are starting to win. You have no idea what’s coming, look around, the RINO’S are being slain and in the case of serpents Chris Jacobs, GOPe NY-27 and Adam Kinzinger GOPe Il-16 committed political suicide and are going to find employment at some alphabet media propaganda network.

Alaskans appear to be casting off Lizard Lisa, Wyoming is doing the same with their turncoat multigenerational GOPe representative. Like Donald Trump said…”so much winning…”.

Granted we still have lots of work to do, but seriously, loose the pessimism and start encouraging the new warriors forward. We’re going to prevail, it would be a wise move to join in there’s a lot smart Freepers can do to help reclaim our country from the commies. If nothing else be a strong motivator and counsel for the ones fighting for Freedom and Liberty. Winning!!!

“What Garland is suggesting is that Fed Employees ARE NOT subject to State and Local laws.”

As federal employee, and a Florida resident…I acknowledge I am subject to Florida State Law and county ordinances I happen to be traveling in. His stance only further divides the country. Would be a shame if local governments accidentally cut utilities to the local installations and government facilities…

Look for Biden to try to set up federal facilities to perform abortions even in states which prohibit it

Won't work. There is no federal laws allowing abortion. Its not in the constitution.
Dementia Joe can try it when the red states crack down. And Dementia Joe and Garland will LOSE. Again.

“I agree they can say whatever they want, but we allow them to set the narrative by adopting the same terms to talk about it. I heard that from people last night.”

Can’t help on that.

Anyway, Putin sent me an IM and told me to get back to the Ukraine threads.

Apparently the court added another decision day to the calendar at the last minute. I wonder why? What decision is coming out on Monday the 27th? After they go into recession.

I believe a Rubicon has been crossed.

This administration has been breaking the law, specifically, immigration law. Law that was passed legally by Congress and signed by a President in the past according to our Constitutional processes.

The Biden Administration has not simply been avoiding enforcing the law, but has been deliberately circumventing it and breaking it with their actions on the Southern border.

Now...the head of the DOJ, the top law enforcement entity under the President, is openly saying that they will not observe laws they they, as a political entity, disagree with.

This is serious.

Beverly Garland and Judy Garland did more good than this numbskull ever did. I suppose it is possible Merrick wouldn’t do this without the support or prompting of whomever is the actual Acting President.

He needs to read the Constitution again. States are sovereign within their territories except in those matters specifically delegated to Congress. Nor are federal employees exempt from state laws.

Indeed it is serious. The republic is in great jeopardy.

To make matters even more serious our federal agencies have been politically weaponized and now serve as enablers for law breaking by the administration.

Congress doesn’t seem at all interested in exercising its oversight functions. The executive branch, the administrative agencies, and the courts have effectively subsumed what was previously the role of congress.

I have zero faith or confidence in the GOP to get the country back on course. The GOP makes excuses, they appease, and they enable the Democrats regardless of whether they are in power or not.

When you enable bad behavior you get more of it. We need a party that stands for something and is committed to fighting for it.

**************

While that appears to be true, you overlook a big part of the problem: the controlling GOP apparatus in DC whose sole purpose is to flip newly elected officials into compliant Swamp creatures b making them dependent on party support and money. Trust me, the RNC et al are very good at doing this.

Unless real conservatives gain complete control of the party apparatus in DC very little will change and the GOP will continue to be a RINO producing machine.

To avoid naming the true matter, they use the euphemisms “reproductive care”, and such, which for most of the meaning of that term, abortion is not the first or primary matter. They do that to try to project that regulation of abortion is an intrusion on all manner of “reproductive care”, which they know is a lie. Abortion is abortion period. It is not contraception. It is not all the other pregancy services women may seek. But we know the Left, confusion of the real issue is one of their common modes of lying.

Sounds like Planned Parenthood workers are about to be federal workers.

My thought as well. A new Cabinet-level Federal Agency. The United States Department of Reproductive Health. [sic]
