Former President Donald Trump said Friday that the Supreme Court overturned the Roe v. Wade decision establishing a national right to abortion because he was able to install three nominees on the bench during his term in office.
Mr. Trump called the ruling “the biggest win for life in a generation” and said it was “only made possible because I delivered everything as promised.”
“I did not cave to the Radical Left Democrats, their partners in the Fake News Media, or the RINOs who are likewise the true, but silent, enemy of the people,” the former GOP president said in a statement issued by his political action committee.
Mr. Trump nominated three of the court members in the majority in Friday’s ruling: Justices Neil M. Gorsuch, Brett M. Kavanaugh and Amy Coney Barrett.
They joined Justice Samuel A. Alito Jr., a George W. Bush appointee, and Justice Clarence Thomas, a George H.W. Bush appointee, in striking down Roe. Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr., another George W. Bush pick, sided with the others in upholding Mississippi’s 15-week abortion ban, but said he would not have overruled all of Roe at this point.

It doesn’t matter. With the overwhelming support DJT could have had could have mitigated all those shenanigans.
And an “arrogant rooster!” Oh, wait ...
I have to wonder if Mitch really ever expected it to happen?
I bet he’s getting an earful from Murkowski and Collins right now.
When does he take credit for all the bad SCOTUS decisions?
I?????????????????
Some of those judges were appointed by Bushes. I’m just saying. It took many years of effort by a lot of people.
It’s so sad that so many hate life and that this is an issue at all. It’s also sad that the people that love perversion and death do not all go live together in the same state(s).
And that my friends, is why they call us the party that eats their own.
In an intellectual discussion with Trump do you think he would disagree?
We give credit to David for the Psalms. Do you interrupt every pastor that does
and tell them no, God did?
Why would you think that was necessary?
In this instance, Trump was God’s right hand man. I have no problem with
him reminding people that he kept his word. On this very forum we
can see why that is necessary. People so easily forget, and so easily
betray.
Remember the fake Christians who urged people to vote against Trump, and themselves voted against him.
They have been revealed as servants of Moloch.
THE BRAGGART TRUMP DELIVERS TO THE PEOPLE, when the RINOS try to destroy the very same people...YEAH,LET’S GANG UP ON THE BRAGGART.....
I have defended Mitch on his Supreme Court work all along. He has been stellar on that.
Oops, closer to 50 years…
For all the crap that Trump got for some of his Administration picks(And I agree, some of them were really really bad picks) he hit the nail on the head when it came to his Supreme Court picks..!!
This decision had nothing to do with pro-life or not. It had only to do with whether the Court thought that women have a constitutionally protected right to have an abortion. They decided that abortion is not a right protected by the Constitution. It would be entirely consistent for a pro-abortion Justice to agree with the majority opinion.
The thing about this opinion that should make conservatives most happy, regardless of their views on abortion, is that, at least for now, we have a Court that is willing to (1) strictly interpret the Constitution, and (2) respect states' rights.
Hard to say. I’m sure he is!
I remember. I remember their lack of discernment and their self righteous bleating about how evil Trump is/was.
Then you are rare here.
Fortunately, the Internet is forever.
Most Excellent.👍
But they wouldn’t help him when the election was stolen from him, particularly the Texas case. They let him down, except for Thomas who I think said he wanted to hear it.
“But you made the bad decision of supporting an electing open border globalist like Bush,”
And I must live with that fact as likely most here also felt supportive of GW at the time. Trump does not learn from his mistakes, he just keeps choosing bad people that come back to bite him. I love Trump but he hurt himself in his first term surrounding himself with backstabbers.
Watch Dr Oz now distance himself from Trump soon...
