SUPREME COURT ENDS CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT TO ABORTION
Supreme Court of the United States Blog ^ | 6-24-22 | AMY Howe

The vote to overturn Roe v. Wade was 5-4. Alito wrote the majority opinion, joined by Thomas, Gorsuch, Kavanaugh, and Barrett.

The vote to uphold Mississippi’s abortion restriction was 6-3. Roberts voted with the majority for that outcome, but he said in a separate opinion that he would not have overturned Roe.

Mitch gave us Jack Squat. This was Trump. Even Mitch knew he couldn’t go against Trump on this.

The AG just made a statement that he will protect the right to travel out of state for abortion.

Your "clause" does not trump an Amendment.

The 10th Amendment says, "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people." Article I, Section 9, Clause 3 delegates regulating commerce to the United States.

Power stolen by the Deep State.

But under our constitution Congress has no authority to legislate in this area.

Fed murder laws are only applicable if a fed is murdered. Agreed that Congress can regulate it now under the Commerce clause but Congress cannot force a State to make abortion legal if the respective State Govt. does not want it to be.

Mandating legalization of abortion or banning of abortion is no longer a matter of federal jurisdiction (which it never really was in the first place)

I agree with you. But allowing murder up until the day of birth like Colorado just did is not right. If a woman claims medical reason then do a C-section and save the baby if it is viable.

Absent a federal law I don't see how traveling out of state for an abortion can be prevented. I know that states have suggested laws on this but I don't see how they could be shown to be legal.

Under the Commerce Clause I don't see how they couldn't if they wanted to.

The Commerce Clause would give them that power.
