The vote to overturn Roe v. Wade was 5-4. Alito wrote the majority opinion, joined by Thomas, Gorsuch, Kavanaugh, and Barrett.
The vote to uphold Mississippi’s abortion restriction was 6-3. Roberts voted with the majority for that outcome, but he said in a separate opinion that he would not have overturned Roe.

I recall standing on a corner with a sign to ‘Beep if your for Life!’.... It was the only time I was with a group on the streets when Roe vs. Wade was being decided. Was returning home from work and just parked and joined in!
50 yrs later and finally it’s back to where it should have been - with the states.

The accounting at the top of the case is misleading. Roberts wrote that he would not overturn Roe or Casey, and that he would continue to find a right to abortion in the constitution. How that is labeled “concurring” is one of the magic’s of law. Call it a legal fiction if you will. Count me in agreement, I disagree.
Yea, nothing happened. Also the Right didn’t Burn Loot and Murder as a result. There were also no “mostly peaceful” protests.
The cause of his death hasn’t been definitively given but the Presidio County Sheriff’s Office has said there’s no evidence of foul play and his doctor has noted that the former justice had numerous serious health problems, including heart disease, diabetes and high blood pressure. Never really heard Scalia “true” cause of death.
We don’t praise men. Trump was used by God if that’s the case and is not worthy of any praise. That is for God alone.
On this note though, this is such incredible news!!

Praise the Lord! 50 years of unconstitutional law allowing murder of innocents ( federal level)overturned. Putting it back to the states to decide. I believe the Lord will bless our nation for taking this step!
