The anecdotal evidence of Democrat crossover voting in last month's State Senate District 27 Republican primary that resulted in a one-vote loss for incumbent State Sen. Tom Whatley (R-Auburn) to Auburn City Councilman Jay Hovey continues to accumulate.
In an op-ed published in Monday's edition of The New York Times, Auburn University creative writing professor Anton DiSclafani took credit for Whatley's single-vote loss.
"I'm a left-leaning Democrat, but on May 24, I voted on the Republican ballot in Alabama's primary election," DiSclafani wrote.

Another retarded, far left “Perfeser” who can’t keep his big mouth shut.
One wonders if he’s aware that he can be prosecuted.
A fart in the wind.
What pleasure is there in being a liar, a cheater and or a theif ..if you can’t boast about your “cleverness”?
What can he be prosecuted for?
Alabama uses an open primary system, in which registered voters do not have to be members of a party to vote in that party’s primary.
The state legislature could stop this by making all primaries closed.
But as we saw in GA, the RINO scum SoS Rat-Booger scraped over 50% in his own open primary due to 7% of Democrats voting for him.
Open primaries are how RINOs get votes from Democrats in order to try to stop conservative candidates.
And this is exactly what Rush Limbaugh told Republicans to do in 2008- crossover and vote for obama over hillary if they had the opportunity to do as much during primaries.
Remember Operation Chaos?? I said at the time it was a mistake because obama was such a danger.
And therein lies the problem.
Exactly!!!!
Cripes- the LW craphole i live in, NY, has closed primaries!!!

I agree. Have always been against open primaries.
“Auburn University creative writing professor Anton DiSclafani took credit for Whatley’s single-vote loss”
Guess he is trying to be relevant for once. Auburn has very good agriculture, veterinary medicine and engineering (I went there, it was harder that the uppity undergrad school I attended in Virginia).
But you don’t go to Auburn to study creative writing. That’s not the type of program the university emphasizes. It’s an add-on.

Just returned from voting for Mo Brooks.
That is because democrats control every level of government in NY and do not want Republicans to cross over and vote in their primaries.
Chelsea Clinton, it that you?
That’s a man, baby?
Will be doing the same.
