Former Nixon White House counsel John Dean said Friday on CNN’s “Situation Room” that the Republican Party has “decided it was OK to be openly authoritarian” by supporting former President Donald Trump.

Anchor Wolf Blitzer said, “Watching these current hearings nearly 50 years after your own testimony helped bring down President Nixon, do you fear what is going on now, what has happened, is actually worse than Watergate?”

Look at which party has the longer list of "you musts" and "you can'ts". By far the more authoritarian party is the Democrat Party. Other than abortion, the Republicans really are not pushing "you can'ts", and they had precedent on that which stated "Thou shalt not kill".
