Last I checked, propane isn't "green", and 2,500 gal. is a LOT of propane
EMP?
Prepping for something we don’t know
2500 gallons is not a lot of propane. Considering LP tanks are only filled to 80%.
In the cold climates it is about right for a years supply.
Use a summer fill program one could save a bit of money for the year.
To run a generator for a long time in case a hurricane or nor’easter takes power out?
That’s why I would want one.
Isn’t that part of the soylent green process?
An average house with propane heat, water heater, and stove would use a bit under 2,000 gal per year.

Add a propane electric generator, and that tank seems reasonable to keep a large house going for at least 6 months, independent of all utilities.
To stay warm in the winter time. What else?
What a hypocrite. Guess he doesn’t really care about green energy. They are pushing windmills and solar but know those aren’t reliable.
Yup
I can't see the Obamas staying on Martha's Vineyard for the Winter. They would only need to heat the house enough to prevent the contents from freezing not to be comfortable.
LOL! Anybody recall Bob Lee Swagger, the propane tank and the helicopter?
You can make propane from sugar or gassify crop wastes. Not nearly as cheap as the by products of natural gas wells but you could go fully green if you had the $$ to chose to do so.

I saw a Big propane truck get on a ferry boat, anyone was nuts to ride on the same ferry. Lets hope there is pipeline to the island.
To run the heater.
You have a choice of propane or fuel oil.
It’s an island.
To run a generator.
Generac
A permanently installed Generac home backup generator protects your home automatically. It runs on natural gas or liquid propane (LP) fuel, and sits outside just like a central air conditioning unit. A home backup generator delivers power directly to your home’s electrical system, backing up your entire home or just the most essential items.
Propane is trucked. Natural gas is piped.
Mark Wahlberg and Michael Peña. 🤗
Civil war maybe?
